Ben update, or "Help, I'm stuck in the 50s!"
Ben is feeling better, but not 100%. He still has a low-grade fever and can't really do much. I spent all weekend entertaining the baby, tidying, doing dishes, laundry, making meals for him, and babying him. He napped and played a video game. About 10 pm Sunday after he fell asleep, I realized - OMG! I'm stuck in the 50s! I'm child-rearing and chore-doing-by-myself, and my husband is napping! PLUS, at that particular moment, yes, I was barefoot and pregnant and in the kitchen. Errrr, yeah....I don't like this, Sam-I-Am. I don't know how they did it. I am utterly, completely exhausted. Especially after a long, hard day at work. First day of the fiscal year is very busy, and we were having server problems to top it off. And now I've got to make dinner and do dishes and put the baby to bed by myself. I am so glad that I normally have a partner for this. I'm just so TIRED!
OTOH, this morning Ben refused to take more medicine and announced that he is going to work tomorrow after all. Whew! Yay! That's the contrary, difficult man I know!
