I thought I would share my two favorite sites to get recipes from. Both databases are very extensive and easy to use.
www.foodnetwork.com - All the recipes appearing on the Food Network, and then some. It takes a little bit to load for those with slower connections, but ALL of the recipes are good ones. Seriously, you can't go wrong. You can search by your favorite shows, and it has some more complicated and high-skill-level recipes than most websites. Also, technique and training videos. Nice.
www.allrecipes.com - Each recipe has lots and lots of reviews, which I find essential in choosing a recipe to make. All the recipes are submitted by regular people or packaged foods companies, so they are mostly simple to medium recipes. But the thing that makes this my all time favorite and number-one go-to website for recipes - the ingredient search!!! You can just type in whatever ingredients you have on hand that day, and maybe a keyword if you want, and ZING! Lots of recipes to choose from, ranked starting from the highest rated. Woo!! Don't remember Grandma's buttered noodle recipe, but you know a few ingredients? Chances are, there's something similar in this vast collection, and it's easy to find with the ingredient search. Highly recommended.
