To the super Fiddleteacher. May she have a day in which she doesn't have to yell at the children and in which everyone she meets appreciates her for her marvellous qualities!!!!
Thank you! It was as good as it can be. I had a mom helping in the classroom, and that was wonderful. She revamped my storage system for the kids work materials. I'm really trying not to yell so I save my voice. I lost patience and sent one child out of the room for a while. He was assigned to write an essay by the fantastic and very tough sub there. He came back thoroughly chastened. And I sent the essay home for his parents to sign. He tried to negotiate a better report, but it wasn't happening.
Then in the afternoon, I sent my kid with CP (wonderful little guy) out with the resource teacher and a geometry problem, which he solved in nothing flat. He came back totally jazzed and proceeded to help the rest of the class with the problem. He ended up feeling really really good about himself and impressing me no end!
Then my fiddle student this afternoon brought a chocolate cupcake! And I'm about to go out for Indian food with one of the readers who's staying with me.

All in all, pretty good!
