First day of School!
Today was amazing.
School was EXTREMELY awkward though. I didn't really make any friends, but I saw a friend of Philip, and I talked to him a little before going off to my German lesson. He had a british accent (like most Germans who are fluent in English do).
Apparently, many Germans find the fact that Americans do not start learning a foreign language until high school fascinating. Yes, most Americans only need about one or two years of language credit in order to graduate. It's quite depressing when I think about it. If I had the choice, I would have started learning a new language earlier. Because of the way my school system is set up, I am stuck only knowing a year of Japanese and a wee bit of German. I am anything BUT multi-lingual.
