I was
there.
Tonight Sean Dockery hit a half court shot with 1 second left to lift the Duke Blue Devils over Va. Tech, 77-75. Mayhem ensued. It was the most intense sports moment I have ever witnessed first hand. I was there, I lost my voice, I twisted my ankle in the melee as bodies flew all over the student section of Cameron Indoor stadium, hugging necks, slapping hands, still screaming our guts out. I was freaking there, it was amazing. We were still there about 20 minutes afterwords, screaming, cheering, singing, "Nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, good-bye." It was surreal. The ball left his hand and it looked good the moment it rolled off his fingers, time froze, the buzzer sounded, the shot fell through the rim and the Crazieness began. It was probably the highlight of my semester.... Words can't express what it's like to be there for a moment like that.
If you didn't catch the game,
here's a video of the shot. Unbelievable.
