I've also settled on the conclusion that it isn't lazy parents that are leading the fight. It's the USE of "lazy parents" that the governments and people like John Bruce are using to justify their demand to control other people's lives. Much like they USE children by using "protect the children" or USE people's tragedies by link video games to those tragedies.
Lazy parents couldn't care less one way or the other. But in truth, that IS their way of saying they have decided for themselves what is or is not appropriate for their own children. It's John Bruce and people like him and the politicians who support, one way or another, his cause that want to decide what is or is not appropriate, not only for their own children, but for OTHER PEOPLE'S children. And they throw about these little inflammatory phrases and sound bites to make them sound like they are doing it for the good of everyone. But all they are doing is showing through their actions that they just want to control/dominate other people's lives.
From Liz's posts and attitude, I'd say she didn't find what she was looking for when she sought answers to why her son commited suicide. I don't know if the EQ2 group was as vocal after it happened as the Metal Gear Solid crew were after Mitch's death. But I hope at least some of her son's friends tried to make contact. As one of Mitch's friends said on GP, they knew Mitch for 5 years and were very good friends. I don't know if Liz's son had friends like that online, but I would have hoped they tried to contact her. But it doesn't look like it. Either that or she ignored them. Don't know which.

P.S. The userpic you're using now has just become my favorite.
:: sigh ::
One could find a good calm center staring at that picture of her.
