Conan The Barbarian, 2011
Directed by Marcus Nespel (The new Friday the 13th, Pathfinder)
Well that was pure crap.
Seriously. Bad movie. Bad pacing, bad acting, total lack of tension at key moments. Nonsensical storyline. Confusing scene transitions.
What's really a shame is that it started out pretty good. The whole opening, with Conan being a boy and being raised by his dad was pretty nifty. Ron Pearlman was a stellar...uh....Conan's Dad.
But then Conan grew up. And got really boring.
That's all. Nothing more to see here.
Oh, except that I take issue with them pronouncing his name "co-NIN". The only time it is acceptable to say it like that is when it's followed by "O'Brian". The barbarian pronounces it "CO-nan". Like they did back in the 80s. Hell yeah.
Would I own it? Nope.
