For those of you that don't know I'm in Taiwan right now. I just had lunch with my family. It was a funny sensation. In the last 7 years or so I haven't really sat down and had a meal with more than 3 members of my family at any given time. Really 3 members is optimistic. In the last 7 years, I honestly I really never missed it. It's just a case of, "You don't know what you are missing, until you rediscover it..." or something to that effect. Today there were like 10 of us at the table and we felt like a family. I guess what I'm trying to say is a really miss that feeling. My normal life usually eating alone, eating at work, or if I'm lucky eating with my girlfriend. Just that feling of doing something so basic such as have a meal with so many people. Not just people, but people you share a connection with... To be part of a group, or part of something bigger, a family... It just felt good. I'm not sure how else to decribe it...
