"Yah Jung Yonghwa!" series: Was it real or all for reel? Part 1

Apr 15, 2012 21:15

Seohyun couldn’t believe her eyes. And ears.

When did we start to fall apart? When did he start to stray away and be somebody who I ‘used’ to know? How? When?... Why?

She knows he had been busy the last few months in regards to their comeback and promotion for their new album. He hadn’t had the time to reserve to even say a small “How are you?” to her anymore because of that, and she understands. She’s very understanding of him the past few months, but she was a person with feelings. She has doubts, her strong feelings for him sometimes waver, her trust in him returning her love sways sometimes, but she had always been understanding.

But now, she doesn’t know anymore. And she didn’t want to even know.

She was tired. She wanted to stop.

She wanted to give up.

All these questions swarmed inside Seohyun’s head as she watches the latest episode of Star King, for which her boyfriend (or should she say ex-boyfriend?), starred in.

_________

During the part where three naturally beautiful girls were to pick one out of the three guys, which one of them was Yonghwa, Seohyun knew what was coming, but how he reacted wasn’t something she was ready for.

Her eyes narrow as she sees him slung his arms over two of the girls (since one was a little girl and was too small for him) and opted to sing parts of Love Light, which he had confessed on national TV about a year or so ago was for her. And here he was, a long time has passed and he was singing it to other girls as if her presence was nothing.

Strike one.

Her heart broke, but she tried to be strong and positive. Thinking that it was all for the show anyways, a must in the world of entertainment.

Yonghwa asked the girl to introduce herself and what hurt her again was how he was asking her if she had a boyfriend and when she answered no, he opted to say “Oh really? If only it wasn’t for this show, then...” He didn’t finish his sentence but everybody on set knew what he was going to say. And Seohyun didn’t like it.

Strike two.

Misun-noona, who used to be an MC during YongSeo’s We Got Married stint, chose to ask Yonghwa about Seohyun, her being a full-pledged goguma.

“Who do you prefer, ex-wife Seohyun-ssi or natural beauty Eunbin-ssi?” She asked. It was a question that he knew was coming and he had an answer ready.

“I’m already divorced with Seohyun-ssi...” He smiled sheepishly while blushing.

Strike three.

Seo Joohyun, the reserved maknae of SNSD, who others see as a perfectionist, a still doll, a girl with no feelings, finally had tears streaming down her face. And this wasn’t fake tears. It was the sadness her heart was feeling right now.

That was it. That was the last straw for Seohyun.

She briskly wipes away the tears while deciding on what she needs to do. Before, she didn’t know what was happening to both of them, but now, she knows and it’s not a good thing.

It’s either they both keep on lying to themselves... Or she breaks the truth to both of them.

Seohyun tried to calm her sobs down before proceeding to do what she had to. She grabbed for her phone and pressed #1 on speed dial.

“Yoboseyo?” She thought that the voice on the other side had a bit of fear in it. In the back of her head, voices were telling her to stop what she was doing. Her heart told her to end this before she regrets it in the end. But her brain told her to go on and that this is the right thing to do.

Is this really the right thing to do?

“Oppa... I need to tell you something. Can we meet up at the usual place?"

_________

“Uhhmmmm... This isn’t Yonghwa hyung hyungsoonim...” A tall boy with small yet beautiful eyes answered Yonghwa’s phone.

Even after YongSeo’s We Got Married stint, the other CNBLUE boys still continued to call Seohyun hyungsoonim, which stands for “sister-in-law.” They said she would always be a sister-in-law for them. She and their hyung were perfect for each other.

“Is that so?” There was a pause, as if contemplating to continue. “Where is he?”

“Ah... He...” Minhyuk went to look at his hyung sitting on the couch in the living room. He was waving his hands around and gesturing him something.

“He’s not here right now. He went out somewhere.” He saw Yonghwa nod his head and heave a sigh of relief.

“Oh... Thanks then.” And the line died. Minhyuk swore her voice had a tint of sadness in them.

He handed Yonghwa’s cellphone back to him and sat beside him.

The television was on and Star King had just finished. The episode was the same episode that prompted Seohyun to call him.

“Aish!” Yonghwa shouted as he ruffled his hair in anger. All his dongsaengs could do was watch him from the side as he continues to bathe in the situation he put himself in.

His hand instinctively went to the remote control and turned the darn thing off. He almost violently threw the remote on the couch as he stood up. Minhyuk thought he was going to break the thing just from throwing it on the soft couch.

“What are you going to do now hyung?” Jungshin came into the living room with a peeled, sliced mango in his plate.

“I don’t know Jungshin. I just don’t know.” He kept on hitting his head on the wall until Jonghyun held his shoulders and kept him away from any hard surface.

“Are you still going to continue with the plan? You know if you do this, everything will end and you’ll both be back to where you were before.” Jungshin said nonchalantly as he continued to poke at his sliced cube mangoes and ate them without a care for the situation.

“It’s not that easy okay!” Yonghwa burst out shouting.

“We’ve been together for over a year now, and if I continue with the plan, I’m just scared that she’ll take it negatively. I’m just scared of what’s going to happen next.” They had never seen their hyung so serious about something aside from music and CNBLUE.

“It’s bound to happen sooner or later hyung.” Jonghyun patted Yonghwa on the back and pushed him to sit down on the couch.

“And we’re going to be here when worse comes to worst.” Yonghwa couldn't help but be nervous and sigh for what he's about to do.

It's now or never.

A/N: This is my take on the recent Star King issue. A lot of gogumas have been sad and depressed about Yonghwa's answers concerning Seohyun. It sometimes hurts me too, and I haven't even watched that episode yet! And I tried to put all gogumas' and my negative emotions into this story. It's like a closure fic for gogumas out there. I mean, all of us are going through this, that I bet. (AND OMFG CNBLUE'S LOVE IN THE RAIN ISN'T HELPING! Jonghyun, you're a genius but aish!) And I tried putting all these doubts and emotions into Seohyun. I dunno. SEOHYUN HERE REPRESENTS GOGUMAS! XDDD

But anyways, there's a part two to this, so don't worry. And this is kinda of a spur-of-a-moment thing. I just wanted to write about the recent events since it's been affecting tons of gogumas. And I'll see if I'll be able to update with part two.

And a message to all gogumas: Believe. Sure, believe is just a word for bullcrap that Disney makes children hope in, but not all of it is fake. Neither of us, supers or gogumas, know what's really up with their personal lives, especially YongSeo, so let's not make assumptions and believe what we want to. I mean, we all know Yonghwa's a gentleman and that if it really was up to him, he wouldn't do something like that. He's not a playboy, even when he was in high school. Why change drastically when he became famous? No, I don't believe in that. I won't rant here. I've already ranted at the soompi thread and at the SPD CBOX so go there if you want to see xDDD And I haven't been on Twitter much... I'm trying to avoid it so I can focus on school and finishing my portfolio but aish! I can't seem to avoid YongSeo! D:<

Have a nice day gogumas and keep on believing ;)
