You know the program I gushed over a couple of days ago,
WriteRoom? And did anybody ever use WordPerfect back in its single-digit-version days, when it was a hideous blue with big pixellated letters? Yeah, me, too. Wasn't it great?
So I tweaked WriteRoom and it's all
ancient WordPerfect. Heeeee. And here's the
Commodore 64 version with a downloaded font of the same name. (I am such a fucking dork. I had a story I wanted to write about a speakeasy once and wouldn't start writing until I found the perfect typewriter font.)
Incidentally, in both versions that's my full-screen. You don't see anything but the cursor unless you move your mouse around. It's wunnerful. And don't read the story. I'm doing it NaNoWriMo style and it's dross.
And I mentioned Leisure Suit Larry in the other posts. The point of the game (never actually mentioned in the game) is to lose Larry's virginity, and if you fail to do so within the allotted game time, he apparently blows his brains out. Here are YouTube videos to the gameplay:
