I know there was a point to this episode, but it blew right out of my head when it got to the 'zord' battle. I only have one thing to say: Damn, that is one massive clusterfuck of a robot.
I have a completely age inappropriate boycrush on mao, yes I do
I noticed. It's like, every episode they get more toys. The light and not-serious, not-deep story is actually a relief, when compared to the kamen rider that's airing along with it.
Phillip dies makes everyone cry, Agri and Arata give us silly love and yay, toy sales, to make up for it. I think it works.
Maybe I'm uber doom and gloom, but I love the sentai storylines where like, the pits of hell open, and there's just this hardcore evil that's gonna take over and such. XD Goseiger is just far too silly and doesn't take itself seriously enough for something like that to happen, unless N Ma pops up and says "I'm going to devour your souls" in another couple of episodes. *lol*
*is still waiting for a Super sentai series to have a PGSM style ending*
That would be interesting. I love how PGSM dealt with a serious issue like one of the main characters having incurable cancer. Geez...they've done that in Kamen Rider, too. I guess sentai is too aimed at the kiddies to consider doing something like that. Would be interesting, though.
The animators of the Sailor Moon series ended each season by killing off the Sailor Sentai in more and more horrible ways.
Even Power Rangers (the bastard american cousin of super sentai) ended the first two seasons by having the rangers LOSE. I was like "say whut?!" when I re-watched it.
Good point...they really did enjoy killing the Sailor senshi in awful ways. especially the end of the first season. The first time I saw it uncut I just went O_O
Good point with Power Rangers...like with Tommy losing his powers waaaaaaay back when. Not the same as "when this candle burns down, you fucking die!"...which is how the Japanese version went, yes? I think? God, I need more Zyuranger. So hard to get subbed! >_
hah hah. yeah, I think the animators actually hated working on it, so they devised evil evil ways to make it bearable.
I haven't actually watched the original zyuuranger. I totally should. *has been avoiding it because she doesn't want to taint her memories of the show that got her into super sentai*
