[Aion] The TANK is a lie

My big pet peeve as a Chanter on Aion isn't that everyone thinks I should be the cleric, even though my primary purpose is to stand somewhere between all the party members and make sure they all have their mantras going (so they don't die). And occasionally heal, but all around kick butt. Being expected to healbot instead of fight is kind of annoying, but I understand that's my role if there isn't a cleric in the party.

No, what annoys me the most about Aion and being a chanter in general is that invariably, when I party with a caster (mage/sorcerer/spiritmaster), they, the SQUISHIEST OF ALL SQUISHIES, seem to think it's their sworn duty to aggro the monster first, just because they "do the most damage with their spells", thus becoming the tank. Mages that try to tank monsters are just begging for me to let them die, srsly. Especially if they try to aggro a whole mob via their AoE right at the start.

Today, I almost kissed the only sorc that was smart enough not to tank the Kralls. Almost. I don't think it would have gone over very well if I did, but I was soooo tempted, just out of sheer gratefulness. You have no idea how annoying it is to be healbot to a party with a wannabe!tank sorc until you've had to do it on a group quest where you need to kill 50 monsters and collect their loots. Now, I need an aspirin and good night's sleep.
