Okay, I’ll write this entry in English as perhaps some English speaking friends want to read it too~
Japan is the land of courageous ninja and cute princesses!
As you can see in this photo, the cute princess and the curageous ninja are not riding a panda but sitting in a bus heading from the airport to Tokyo.
Okay, we’re no ancient heroes from the past but german tourists!
As you can see, Mike is wearing his stalker glasses while we were visiting a shrine or temple.
Before entering the building, it is necessary to clean your hands and lower arms with flowing fresh water.
In every temple or shrine there are these plates ( 絵馬 [ema] in japanese) where people write their prayers down. And perhaps they come true
Dumdidum a temple!
This ist he Tokyo Tower. The photo is taken from the Roppongi Tower.
There are two funny buildings in Asakusa: The Asahi building (beer company) and another building that looks like a…. Kackhaufen! O_O;
In Akihabara there are loads of anime/manga/merchandise/game stores. One of my favourite ones is animate:
Animate is huuuuuuge!
One day, Mike and I went to Shibuya. In Shibuya, the Hachiko statue is a famous place where young people meet to go out in Shibuya.
Of course we both took pics in front of the statue that was also included in the DS game The World Ends With You.
This ist he Cramble Crossing in Shibuya!
HMV, a huuuuuuge Music store.
Shibuya during night.
One evening, I went to Odaiba, an Isle in the Tokyo bay. There, the new original life-size gundam was standing in a parc. It looks soooo real and I think it’s possible to enter it too.
Of course, even though it was quite late, many people were around. This might have also been because of the firework on the water that lasted about 1 hour!
In another temple/shrine-thingy, there was a beautiful garden with flowers.
In this house, there was equipment for calligraphy.
In this tiny cave, you can buy tiny Buddha statues and putt hem on the wall in order to hope for your wish to be granted.
Another flower <3
Mike and I were taking a lot of photos!
This ist he temple from above. It was really hot that day and I didn’t use sun cream so my face and arms got pretty red. ;_;
Such cute statues <3<3
This ist he big Buddah somewhere. For a few Yen, we were allowed to enter it o.o;
When we drove with the bus to some different place, we drove on a street close to the ocean!
Of course there were a lot of japanese men at the beach <3
As we were bored in the bus, we took some funny pics. X3
Later on, we arrived at the red gate in the water where another temple was around. This pagoda was also part of the temple
The gate:
The temple:
A man was scribbling the pagoda. I bet he’s a mangaka or something.
As it was so hot again, we went with our new friends - some other girls from the travel group - to a restaurant and ate chemical strawberry ice that did not taste like strawberry but sugar…
In Hiroshima we walked through the city, visited monuments and the museum about the nuclear bomb. This is the famous monument for the girl that did not die from the explosion but from leukaemia. She started making 1000 origami crane but she couldn’t finish it before her death. Her classmates finished them for her. In Japan, they say: If you make 1000 cranes, your wish will be granted.
We also visited more temples and Shrines!
And we also ate an awesome omuraisu (omlette rice)! I so damn love this meal!
We visited the golden pagoda - but only the first and second floor are gold, not the ground floor.
Another plate (forgot the name…) where somewone wrote: “I wanna become good in drawing” and next to the cow stands “cow -->” XD
This was a silent temple. I think I liked this one the most as there were these red benches. <3
We also visited a love temple! There were two stones, distance about 10-20m. If you are able to walk from one to the other, your relationship will become better.
Good luck charms - for relationships and love stuff.
If you buy these tiny humans, made of paper and put it into the water, all your bad luck and bad stuff will go away.
Some ppl took photos of their friends…. And these friends were pretty cute ö////ö
Okay, this are most of the awesome photos I’ve made. For further details of our journey, please refer to Mike’s weblog or ask me personally for a meeting where we can discuss my travel diary.
