*pat pat* my poor little phone

So on April 30th, I posted that the hinge on my phone had cracked (I [still] have the SE Z200 btw, I got it when it just came out, so it's pretty old.) A little while after that, the hinge just totally fell off (it's just a little piece of plastic).

Two weeks ago, I had just finished work with my manager and we were exiting the store from the back. I was holding too much stuff cause I didn't want him to wait so i hadn't put my things away in my bag and ended up dropping my phone on the tiled floor =( the side with no plastic covering the hinge popped out. My manager helped me force it back into the phone, but now i have no screen. I'm still using it.. I can pick up and dial calls, but just can't see what I'm doing. And of course... no txting..

Anyhow, people have been constantly commenting about how i'm STILL using that same old phone?? so it's about time for a change. I was looking at phones last week online so that Charlie can pick it up for me when he goes to Taiwan in August. My price range is up to $250 CND + 1700 NT, which is 9 293.87 NT or $305.98 using http://www.xe.com/ucc/. Part of it is in NT cause that's how much money i have left from the trip 3 years ago and $50 is from Charlie. So I can get something pretty decent with that. The phone that I'm liking the best so far is the LG KF510 which goes for NT$ 8171 (269.068 CAD).

I have to say after the look of the phone, the two most important things to me are (1) what colour is the backlight on the keypad and (2) where can I hang my phone strap??
It's always so hard to find those things out though, it's like no one cares about it :O I'm always scrutinizing videos and images to spot where it looks like you can hang something.
(1) the backlight on the numpad is white, the touch sensitive directional keys are red
(2) you can hang phone straps off the top left of the phone (on the section that slides up) the type of hole is an indent with a rod through it.

Before this, I totally wanted the SE w580i cause it's just so awesome and pretty. I read some bad reviews about the quality of the buttons though and I kinda want something you can't get here. That phone is everywhere now.

I'm worried that the LG kf510 can't work in Canada though, the phone is on GSM 900 / 1800 / 1900, GSM 1900 is required for Canada, but 850 is recommended as well. I dunno if it will be okay for sure.. I think it will work, but i don't know anything about the GSM bands stuff.

Anyhow~ that's all for now
