I haven't had a real post for a while, the last couple have been random things not about me haha. Honestly, life is about the same as it was the last time I posted.. The school semester has just ended for most people which means it's been an entire semester since I've been out of school...
So, last week was the first time I've ever gone home in the middle of a work shift/not gone to work. I didn't tell either of my supervisors the specific reason why, but I did tell my co-worker during the shift (that I missed). Here's a clue as to why: my supervisors are male and my co-worker is female. Now, if you're reading this and know what I mean and don't want to hear it, you can stop reading now.
Anyhow, the reason why I didn't tell them isn't cause I find it embarrassing, but cause I think that they would be uncomfortable haha. I dunno how well most guys deal with the discussion/mention of periods, but I figure it's not a big deal if I don't tell them outright. Anyway, what happened was this, it was last Friday and I had work scheduled for 5-9pm. I got my period around 3pm and Charlie picked me up around 4 to hang out for an hour before I had to go to work. We watched some videos at his place and didn't really do much since it was only an hour. I was feeling pretty okay at that point, maybe some discomfort. I started getting slight cramps around the time I was heading in to work, but nothing unusual. I got to work probably 4:55 or so and went steadily downhill from there. The cramps got really bad and I was in a lot of pain and I told my co-worker. Around 5:30 I figured.. hey, maybe if I go to the bathroom it will be better. Well, it didn't get better, in fact it got a lot worse and I had to steady myself on the wall after I got up. As I was walking back to the store from the bathroom, I was extremely lightheaded and nauseous. When I made it back, only my co-worker was there so I told her that I didn't think I was going to make it through the shift. Had to wait a little for my supervisor to come back cause he went to the bathroom too, and when he got back I told him that I think I had to go home. At that point I was on the verge of passing out and it felt like I was really drunk and was sweating like crazy and in a lot of pain. It was hard to see straight..
Anyways, I called up Charlie (who had only dropped me off less than an hour ago) and asked him to pick me up. It was really hard to walk to the door.. I had to take a break halfway there and sit on the bench.. well luckily, the store is actually really close to the mall doors. But yea.. it was pretty crappy. I got home and struggled to get out of the car and somehow made it upstairs after explaining what happened to my parents who made an effort to annoy me as I was trying to sleep it off. My dad came in to see if I had a fever (which makes no sense, but he didn't really know what was going on I guess), then he went to close my blinds which were already closed, so he opened them and then closed them. My mom came in to nag at me cause she said the reason why I was in pain was cause I ate cold foods too often (shrug). Then one of the other would randomly come in, my dad to see if I had a fever and my mom to talk about stuff. ANYHOW, I felt like I was going to die for about 2 hours, but after that, I was pretty good. Yea, I think that's all, now aren't you guys glad you're not a girl?
haha, well this only one of the few times this has happened to me. sometimes I get really bad cramps, but I've almost passed out from it only one other time. so twice in roughly ten years isn't all that bad i guess.
