To the end of the world and back

Over the past week I have been on a mystery tour with my church, when I sighed up for the trip I had no idea what to expect, but I put my name on the list anyway. When we got there I was nerves and excited all at the same time. We left my church on the morning of the 12th and set out for our adventure, our first stop was a food bank in Austin where we packed household supplies to be sent to families with nothing, we then went to TLU in Segine ( yay Lutherans ) for a tour of the campus, then on to San Antonio where we stayed the night, the next morning we got up and went to the river walk and the Alamo,we also visited a home called the women of the well, where women that have been in prison had turned their lives around, then on to Laredo, where we stayed in a mission for the night, we got up the next morning and drove to El Sinitso (not sure if that is spelled right) the 2nd poorest town in the United States and taught vbs for them. We then crossed the border to Mexico to shop, came back and stayed the night in Laredo again. The next morning we drove to Chorpus Christi and went to what is called bokken camp where children have been taken from their homes for one reason or another. Next was Padre Island where we stayed at a hotel on the beach, we hunted for sand dollars and watched a beautiful sunset, the following morning we cleaned the beach, while doing so our van got stuck in the sand, thankfully a man had a huge truck and was able to pull us out. We then took a ferry across the water and drove to Gonzales for ice cream and then to Bastrop to stay the night at our pastors ranch. on the 17th we finished out trip and came home. Durring this trip I learned to be thankful for what I have and that life is full of surprises and that you must always hold fast to the mystery.
