We'll start with the exciting news first.
I was digging through my old toys tonight, which was awesome enough, but then I discovered that my mom, in fact, hadn't sold my Gameboy. GUESS WHO'S PLAYING POKEMON YELLOW TONIGHT?
She also unearthed my possessed doll, which still freaks me out. It was one of those dolls that came with the camera, and when you pointed the camera at it it'd make different poses? Yeah. One morning I woke up to the thing moving all by itself and it freaked me the hell out. I threw it in the attic and haven't touched it until this day.
My dad pointed out tonight that it doesn't actually need the camera to move--enough light will do it just fine. Which kind of debunks my possessed-doll theory, but I'm going to stand by it anyway. I am going to burn that freaking doll.
The last few days have been eventful. I went to Evan Almighty Wednesday night with Mike, Mitch, Jimmy, Hannah, Britta, Clay and Molly. It was... eh, it was okay. Not terrible, just not... terribly funny. I got more entertainment from sitting between Mitch and Mike and making witty comments. And, of course, listening to Jimmy giggle. It was also worth the five dollars just to see the Simpsons movie trailer.
SPIDER PIG. SPIDER PIG. DOES WHATEVER A SPIDER PIG CAN.
Much more satisfactory was Thursday night, when I tagged along with Steve, Mike, Kurt and Calvyn to Live Free or Die Hard. FULL OF FREAKING AWESOME. Driving with Steve was a little scary, even if his truck was awesome. Also, Mike stole a window cling off a truck at the theater that said "YIPPEE KI YAY MO--" and it was good.
Friday night I was super cool and had dinner with my mom, my aunts Nancy and Carol, my grandma, Anita and her little baby Rylan, who is The Happiest Baby Ever. Carol's been working on a scrapbook-like thing of the letters my grandpa sent to my grandma when he was over in Europe during WWII and they are literally the most fascinating things to read EVER. It could be a book. There's little spots where he writes to her in code and calls her "mummy" because she was pregnant with my uncle Lee at the time. Just... awesome. I miss my grandpa. Carol, however, asked me to come up and help her with it sometime in the next couple weeks, to which of course I respond HELL YES LET US SET A DATE RIGHT THIS MOMENT. I'm excited.
Today I went to Les Mis at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater, which isn't exactly top notch theater, but it's always enjoyable. After seeing the Broadway tour of Les Mis twice, I had pretty low expectations just because, you know, Chanhassen doesn't have a revolving stage or a super-big budget, but I was REALLY impressed. I don't think I have ever bawled so much in my entire life. I was in tears about four or five times, which was kind of embarassing, but this is exactly why Les Miserables is my Favorite Musical Ever. The only downside, really, was that the guy playing Jean Valjean kinda sucked. His voice was good, just not... you know, strong enough.
I could elaborate, but I really want to play some Pokemon Yellow. OH MY GOD YAY.
