I met a possum.

So, today was pretty much awesome. Best news first:

Norell got punched in the face.

HAHAHAHA. It's great, really. She was trying to break up two junior high brothers who were fighting (she should know by now that NEVER ends up good), and the older one, an eighth grader apparently named Vinnie, ended up punching her in the face. Becky told us in French sixth hour and then by the time I was walking to choir seventh, EVERYONE in the hallways was talking about it. Sometimes I love how quickly gossip spreads.

We did absolutely nothing in Calculus today. Mr. Jans was GOING to teach us, and then some of the physics people suggested that instead, they bring up the cannon they made. Yeah, the boys in physics made a cannon out of an old air compresser and some PVC piping. I'm not really aware of how EXACTLY it works, but it works REALLY DAMN WELL and they shot a ping pong ball through a cardboard box. And a bouncy ball, too. It was awesome. Mr. Jans was kind of wary of the whole thing, but amazingly, no one got hurt, even if they did have to reattach a prong to the electrical chord.

After that awesome fiasco, Jimmy, Mitch, Mike and Kyle started drawing on the board... the cannon, of course, was the first on the board. It looked like a veery complicted sex toy by the time they were done with it, though. They also drew a guy standing right in front of it saying: "Don't worry! I know what I'm doing! The force is with me!" Then Jimmy decided he was going to draw a gryffin, but apparently he didn't know what one really looked like because he drew a freaky-looking dog with wings and a fluffy collar. Then Mitch informed him that gryffins had EAGLE heads and he drew Toucan Sam. (I haven't had Froot Loops in a long time... that makes my heart sad.) Then Mitch drew Medusa, with crazy-eyed sock puppets instead of snakes, and they went on and on making her as hideous as possible.

Dora, it sounds like, is going to be going to prom along with Mitch and Mystery Misty (as I like to call her), so we spent all of lunch making fun of that. Mitch actually seems scarily excited for prom, probably because he's going to look like such a pimp with a girl on each arm. He was trying to figure out how he was going to balance two dates, and that was hysterical. He then said he was going to get lost in Dora's dress, and the rest of us piped in. I said that they'd have to ride in a convertible, with Mitch driving, Misty in the front seat, and Dora sitting on the back and waving to everyone like a queen. Mitch found that extremely hysterical, for some unknown reason. XD But it is a pretty funny mental picture.

I'm drinking hot chocolate. Damn, is it ever good.

calculus, norell, prom
