Well, today was absolutely and utterly POINTLESS. Other than bitching about Emerging Tech (OH GOD I HATE THAT FUCKING CLASS ALREADY AND WE HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING), all we did was sit through some damn lyceum and some stupid breakout sessions to help us solve the bullying problem at our school.
Except, for the most part, the bullying problem is all in the junior high and elementary schools. There's a bit in the senior high, I'll admit, but... seriously. I mean, taking the seniors for example, we've all stopped CARING and the only thing we're guilty of is gossip.
And the gossip is always true, so mostly, it's "discussing the facts."
Whatever. Anyway, the junior high kids didn't even get to see the lyceum, they just... dicussed bullying our something. WHAT? How stupid is that?
Also, the lyceum was a play, and people got to swear and shoot each other. The school's all dandy with this, I'm sure, but they sure fucking came down on Jimmy when he accidentally said "frickin'."
Ah, well. Half of the senior class skipped out anyway. I would've, but mom wouldn't let me. I wish I could've, though. Jimmy, Mike and Mitch played Super Ninetendo games all day. Those bastards.
Damn school. There are way too many days until I graduate.
Iunno, it wasn't so bad, though. During one of our breakout sessions, we sat around and talked to some of the actors from the play about stuff, and when they asked us if there's much crime in our town, we all started giggling. The actors looked sort of confused, so Audrey (who was also giggling) raised her hand and said "MY BROTHER ROBBED A CONVENIENCE STORE. WE'RE VERY PROUD OF HIM." Then she grinned like an idiot and we all laughed. The actors were all, "...buh... changing subject now."
(Audrey's brother Wade robbing Gilby's gas station is the hottest news around school right now, besides Nicole being pregnant and Jimmy and Tressa dating.)
We had concessions for NHS tonight too, and those weren't bad. Got me out of a hell of a lot of pep band, so that's always good. It was fun, really. Lots of stealing popcorn from the popcorn machine and joking with the guys and whatnot. Good times, good times.
