More Christmas.
One thing I forgot to mention... we decorated the wall outside the band room too, which is awesome. Back in my sophomore year (was it really that long ago?) the Drumline made a sign that said "MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE DRUMLINE TO YOU" and hung it outside the band room. Not wanting to be outdone, every other section added their signs, too.
We hung those up today, along with some garland and some pretty pictures we drew. My favorite was the one Hannah colored/drew of a Pimp Snowman with a candy cane... cane. She signed it: "Merry Christmas, from Hannah, Nicole, Sara and Jimmy" and then there was an arrow pointing from Jimmy to the snowman. There was a bunch of girl snowomen around it, too, and they were all, "Hi, there," and "It's Mike Jones" (?!?). Good times.
Jimmy also tried to draw a snowman that was like an old western sheriff drawing his guns, except for guns, he had trumpets. His name was Sergeant Brass, because, apparently, brass kicks ass.
It reminds me of the first year we put up the signs, and some kid named Seth made his own sign and put it up on the other side of the hallway. It said, "MERRY CHRISTMAS TO THE BAND GEEKS."
IT WAS THE BEST SIGN EVER. And Norell made him take it down because she thought it was offensive. Which it wasn't. That bitch.
