Belated welcome to Term XXXVI, everyone! The Daily Prophet would like to apologise for difficulties in getting any issues to you during September, but we would like to reassure our readers that we are now back to business and getting ready to deliver you 6 issues during the rest of the term.
For those who don't know me, my name is Mindy // fizzbuzz, and I'm a Gryffindor. I've been a writer at the Daily Prophet for various columns and it is one of my favourite aspects of HiH. I love the way it showcases the talent around our community as well as giving us unique insights into things we might otherwise never hear of. I hope we will have some fun!
We are hoping to get the first issue of the term to you on Monday 10th October. But we need some new writers to join us to make it AWESOME. We need:
Clubs
Clubs Correspondent might write a roundup of outcomes of various hh_clubs activities. Though you may wish to interview club leaders or those who win awards in that community.
Ravenclaw Correspondent
House correspondents report on what's been happening in their common rooms; you can write about in-house activities, social posts, new members, or just use the space to crow about your houses' recent successes around HiH if you like.
Fanart
Fanart Correspondents report on any awesome art and graphics submitted to hogwartsicons, hh-sugarquill and sortedchallenge. They may also wish to interview fanartists or graphic makers who win awards in each community.
Guest Column
A column that features once or twice a month. You write one or max. two pieces about a topic of your choice. Doesn't that sound interesting?
Correspondents should always feel free to think outside of the box given to them in how they shape up their colum. Just pop a pm to check!
You can sign up for any of these positions HERE on a first come first served basis. Writing for the Prophet is fun and rewarding and I personally think it is a cool way to dip your toe into working for the comm. If you find you cannot complete your article we have pinch hitters who can step in. You could even spread your wrings trying out as a pinch hitter for the first time. Check back various editions at hogwartsishome to get a feel for it all. Please don't be scared! You can contact the editor in numberous ways listed here to ask any questions you may have.
