This is your check-in post.
Please let me know whether or not you can write for this edition of the Daily Prophet. This post also serves as a reminder, so that you are warned that the next edition is about to come out, but more than that, it helps us plan ahead. When staff writers check in to say they can't make it, this lets me find a pinch writer and give them more than a few days to submit an article. When pinch writers check in, I can better figure out who to ask to pinch write.
You can also use this post to let me know if you're going to be late or not.
Articles will be due on Friday at 11pm UTC.
I'll post a Submission Post either late Thursday or early Friday. The deadline for staff writers is Friday at 11pm UTC (5pm Central right now). If you are a pinch writer and I haven't heard from you in the check-in post by the deadline, I'll assume you can't write. If you are a staff writer and you haven't submitted your article by the deadline, I'll PM/email one of the pinch writers to let them know they've been assigned your section. If you are a staff writer and you've told me you'd be late, you have a 12 hour grace period until you submit your article. This is so if you can't make it by then, I can ask a pinch writer to take over if need be.
Pinch Writers have until Saturday, 11pm UTC to submit their articles.
You can submit to the same Submission Post. Again, let me know if you are running into some trouble or will be late--like staff writers, you have a 12 hour grace period until you submit your article. This is so the Copy Editor has enough time to do all the necessary checks.
