It all happened so quickly. Lynn had almost begun to nod off to sleep when she heard the jingle. She barely had time to open her eyes before she heard the familiar voice of her old friend. Lynn opened her mouth to come up with an excuse, any excuse, to get out of going to lunch with Lizzy but her mouth wasn't quick enough. Lizzy was already heading towards the door.

It wasn't like Lynn didn't like Lizzy. Lynn had been friends with the girl since Hogwarts and she loved her to death and all but after Lynn's father died, she didn't want to be social. All she wanted to do was sit and do...well, nothing. Silently. Lynn knew far too well that Lizzy plus lunch did not mean silence.

She opened her mouth once more but no excuses came to mind. She sighed. She hadn't been a good friend at all in the past few years, it was the least she could do to just go to lunch once, right?

She gave a reluctant nod, got off of the stool, and grabbed the keys to the store. She'd just close it for as long as they were out to lunch which, hopefully, Lynn thought, wouldn't be long.

Lizzy knew that Lynn didn't like to be social much any more, but that's why she had devised a system of not even giving her any choice. Just find a prime time that she would be able to go and even if she couldn't, Lizzy would just wait around until she was free or available. Or just sit there and jabber instead.

Anything to get her friend to just give her at least one smile or a bit more than the silent and solemn girl she had become. That was not ok in her book.

Even if all that happened was that Lizzy sat there and talked the whole time and rambled about nothing that was better than Lynn sitting in that store by herself. And not eating. Who didn't like to eat? Food was an essential part of life!

Lizzy smiled broadly when she started to move and even grabbed the keys to the store, perfect! Now just for the running dialogue.

"It's been beautiful lately, have you noticed? Lovely sky and did you see that game the other night? It was horrible! Terrible calls left and right, did you see that poor bloke that took that bludger to the head? He was almost unconcious or a concussion I'm sure! Too bad he didn't come to St. Mungo's, I could maybe have weasled an autograph or even more from him!" She rambled on, animatedly doing some hand gestures while slipping one of her arms through Lynn's somewhere in there. And of course a lovely eye brow wiggle at the end followed by a laugh.

Never a dull moment.
