Brandon wandered into the Leaky Cauldron, arms laden with bags from his day's shopping. He'd gotten almost everything on his school list, and planned on getting the few remaining items tomorrow, as he simply had no idea how he could carry any more packages home.
He slid gratefully into a seat and closed his eyes for a few moments, sighing as his arms recovered from straining to carry the bags for so long. When his wrists finally stopped the worst of their cramping, he crossed the room to the bar and ordered a butterbeer from the barman.
"Thanks, Tom," he said with a grateful smile as he opened the bottle and turned to walk back to his seat. Halfway there, he noticed someone he recognized from the Hufflepuff common room and gave a little wave.
"Hello," he said as he approached, casting a glance towards the table where his parcels still sat. "I think we've met before, haven't we? I know I recognize you from somewhere. Are you in Hufflepuff at Hogwarts?"
