Brandon made his way out of Flourish and Blotts clumsily, stuffing his newly purchased books into his bag and hitching it up on his shoulder. He was rather lost in thought, thinking about how this was the last time he'd ever have to buy school books for Hogwarts, and trying to decide if that was happy or sad.
He made his way down the street, checking stores off his mental list of where he needed to go. He had only made it half-way down the street, however, when he spotted someone he thought he recognized from Hogwarts. Unsure, he gave a sort of half-wave and walked slowly towards him, trying to remember his name. Brandon had always been the friendly sort, eager to make new acquaintances, and given the war that was going on, such things seemed more important than ever before.
"Hi," he said as he approached. "I'm Brandon. I think I recognize you from Hogwarts."
