Tatiana had thought of bringing Avis along to this couture show, but after a day's careful consideration, she'd decided in the end that bringing Avis--of all people--to a runway show in Paris in the company of Lissianna and Noel, would only be a breeding ground for chaos. And God forbid Avis start a verbal fight as the models hit the runway! Tatiana could never show her face again in the city after that, if her mother didn't murder her first!
The Dior show was nearly twenty minutes of storybook bliss (actually, it was probably more like history book bliss--the eerie gowns were inspired by Marie Antoinette's beheading, of all things), and as the models took one last walk down the runway and the lights began to click on, one by one, Tatiana excitedly gave Monsieur John Galliano a standing ovation.
"Isn't this brilliant?" she said to Noel at her side, "Aren't you glad you came? Muggle fashion is much less severe and dry than robes," she said, voicing the word 'robes' with apparent disgust. "You know what would be a refresing follow-up to all this? A light quiche at a cafe. What say you?"
