"Well! A one-armed Rylie would still be all right, though I s'pose I prefer ye with all limbs intact." Sean smiled happily, both very excited to see her and in need of advice about vanished coffee tables. Although, Rylie was a priority, of course!

"Aparecium," he repeated under his breath, trying to remember a Charms lesson, any Charms lesson. "That might do it..." His brow was furrowed seriously, but seriousness had never been an expression or state-of-being that Sean Brightwell could hold onto for very long, so when Rylie remembered the customary holiday greeting, his face lit up -- vanished coffee tables momentarily forgotten.

"An' HAPPY CHRISTMAS T' YE!" he shouted. Returning the hug, he then went to introduce her to his family, but they seemed to be nowhere to found and even Cody had apparently abandoned the coffee table rescue mission. "Hrm," he muttered, scratching his head with his wand.

"GIFT! Er... aye, mysteries first-like, gifts'll have t' go second, lemme think--"

But he didn't seem to have time to think about anything, because his mother was very suddenly in the vicinity and talking very fast and greeting them at the door and wanting to know, "Sean, where's th' coffee table?" like any mother missing her coffee table would want to know.

"Ah..." Sean stalled a bit on the question and then, so to distract her, he tightened his arm around Rylie, grinned cheerfully and said, "Ma, d'ye know Rylie? Rylie, Ma -- Ma, Rylie, everyone say hello!"

Smooth! With the introductions!

As strange as it sounded, it was nice to know that she'd still be liked should she lose an arm. It seemed she'd chosen a very good friend in Sean Brightwell, indeed!

"It's a possibility, but I honestly can't recall the right type of spell for something vanished. What did you use to make it disappear?" she asked, tilting her head to the side in curiosity and amusement as his brow furrowed seriously. She couldn't say she'd seen that sort of look from him often. It was somewhat intriguing - being so out of place with his personality.

She chuckled as he returned her hug, giving him a light pat on the back before he pulled away and seemed to try to do something, though she wasn't quite sure what he had in mind. Whatever he'd meant to do, it was stumping him, as he was scratching his head with his wand.

"You must be the first person I've ever heard choose anything over - " Rylie started to say, but was startled by Sean's mother's sudden appearance. She grinned at the woman, noting how much she looked like someone she'd picture related to Sean Brightwell, and pretended she'd never heard anything about a coffee table since her arrival.

"Hullo Mrs. Brightwell! It's wonderful to meet you," Rylie greeted, nudging Sean in the side playfully before holding her hand out to the woman.
