Adam smiled as Mae hugged him from behind. He'd grown to love her more every day that they'd been together and that didn't ever look like changing. And now that they were going to have a baby, he couldn't be happier.

Chuckling lightly as Mae dashed off to the bathroom again, he walked over to the door. Sticking his head round the frame he asked, "Still getting sick then?"

Mae'd always loved Adam and continued to love him more every day as well. This baby definately was going to be loved, and Amabel couldn't wait until it was born...which wouldn't be for another 8 months. It was wreaking havoc every morning which was really the only downfall of having to bear the child.

"S'not funny," Mae said wiping away whatever might have been left and walking over to Adam. "You try doing that nearly every morning and see how you like it!" Amabel trudged back into their bedroom and lazily finished getting dressed.

Looking over at Adam she sarcastically said, "Just imagine - in 7 months time I'll be a fat cow."

Adam still hadn't fully gotten used to the idea that he was going to be a father. He couldn't wait, but all the same it was hard for him to believe that in eight months time he was going to be responsible for another person.

"Sorry, sorry," he chuckled, ruffling her hair affectionately as she walked past him. "It'll all be worth it in a few months though, you know that."

"Don't be daft, well, I mean sure you'll get bigger but you won't be a cow," he said, shaking his head.

Oh, Mae'd certainly gotten used to the fact that they were going to be parents. She'd gotten used to it about the 10th morning on sickness. Amabel just prayed that the morning sickness wouldn't last much longer - it was really crumby to wake up every morning feel horrible.

"I know," she said slightly pulling him back into their bedroom with her. Mae would have kissed Adam right about now if it wasn't for the fact that she'd just puked, and she was certain he wouldn't like that.

"Than what will I be? Can't call me a heifer," she joked. "Trust me, you won't want to come near me in 9 months," this time she poke couple times at her abdomen and then smiled up at Adam.

FAST FOWARD! amabel_ricci February 15 2007, 22:19:17 UTC
It was 5:25 and Mae'd already finished her shift. She'd been waiting all day just for this moment, and wasn't exactly feeling so great. What if something was wrong? What if she'd screwed up somehow already? What if, what if, what if...

So she grabbed her robe off of the back counter and headed in the direction of the obstetrician. Hopefully this would be a walk in the park, but somehow Mae knew that it wasn't going to be.

Adam finished his day and quickly apparated to St. Mungo's. He wondered where exactly Mae would be. Thinking, he headed for the information desk to find out where a pregnant woman would go. After speaking to the woman behind the desk, Adam found himself heading towards Mae, who was coming from the opposite direction.

He smiled. "Mae!" he called, giving her a wave to attract her attention.

"Hello love," Mae said as she continued to walk towards Adam. Goodness, Mae didn't want to walk into that doctors office. She really was afraid of what he was going to have to say to her. Amabel typically was an optimist, but now? Now she was doubting that anything good was going to be coming from this doctor visit. Mae was just glad that Adam was there with her.

So as she finally met up with him, Mae said, "How was your day?" It was the typical routine questions even if they were annoying. Hey, you never know: something exciting might happen (a promotion, a new assignment; things happen)!

Adam bent his head to kiss Mae on the forehead as they reached each other. "It was fine. Same old things, nothing new. How was yours?" he replied, shrugging his shoulders a little bit. Right now he was more concerned about Mae and the baby.

Slipping his arm around Mae, he guided her towards the doctor's office.
