What is in a name?

Along with Sars, I'm uber excited about the transition too!

And the other thread got me curious... Just what DO the names of your charries mean? I know a lot of you posted already, but some didn't post about names and how they related to their charries! :D

Post anything! What the name means, how to pronounce it, if the name influenced your charrie or not, WHATEVER!! Even if you just want to copy what you had written in the other thread. Even if the name of your character has NOTHING to do with him/her! I don't care! <3

And it doesn't have to be long. One line per charrie is fine, really.

Chen [pronounced-- Chen]: Means 'morning' in Mandarin Chinese

Kazuki [pronounced-- KAH-zoo-kee]: Means 'one' combined with 'radiance' or 'shine' in Japanese

Edward: Means 'rich guard' (well that has nothing to do with him, does it? Haha)

Qi-Ling [pronounced-- CHEE-ling]: made up of two parts
Qi: derived from 'Qiu' which means 'autumn'
Ling: means 'alert' or 'quick' in Mandarin Chinese

and then this random man in the back of my mind...

Paris [pronounced like the city in France-- PAIR-is]: from Greek mythology, the Trojan prince who kidnapped Helen of Troy and started the Trojan war (heeheehee...)

And there you go! You can do last names, if you want. But I'm seriously really curious! What do your characters' names mean? :3
