"Well I am but nevermind," she replied and tugged on her friend's arm, suddenly becoming impatient as well. "Let's gooo, I've got to show you my new scarf."
Ophelia grinned wickedly and continued to pull the other girl away. She'd spent all night figuring out how to transfigure the blasted thing and was more than ready to actually do it. But not for the sake of skipping breakfast!

"A scarf? You managed it then?" she said, almost enviously. Emilia still had trouble performing even the most basic transfiguration. "I was up ever so late practicing the reappearing spell. My lamp simply wouldn't stop talking, it was quite awful."

"I transfigured a JAM POT into a PICTURE," she squealed and went on. "Showed up right next to old nursie pushing me along in a pram. Rather modern looking actually. The pot's almost as big as I am."
Stopping in front of the Slytherin Common Room doors, Ophelia hissed the password and tugged Emilia in. Leaving her there, she ran up to the dorms and emerged a few minutes later with a green and silver scarf, and broom, in tow.
"Isn't it perfect?!" she exclaimed, throughing the thing around her neck. It was near new and still soft from not much wear. "I took it off a first year. Never knew what hit him."

A jam pot into a picture? Emilia hardly had time to comprehend the thought before she was dragged into the Slytherin Common Room and deserted. As the younger girl retrieved her scarf and broom, Emilia took advantage of the opportunity to glance about the Common Room and check the talking furniture had been succesfully muted. It had, which was rather a relief. There was only so much conversation one could have with a chaise longue.
When Ophelia returned with the scarf and broom, Emilia had to admire the girl. The scarf was just perfect, far better than she'd imagined it would. "It's marvellous!" she said, "The lion will love you for it. Speaking of which, shall we?" And she headed out through the portrait again, this time making sure to stay ahead of Ophelia for fear her arm might fall off.
