Emilia had picked a few books off the shelves on her way over to Ophelia. The selected tomes were old favourites, some of the few books that she'd actually read more than the first chapter of, and she'd read them cover to cover several times. As she made her way through the library and cast a few wary glances about the aisles for possible snitches, spies and do-gooders, just in case.

Finally spotting Ophelia, she tiptoed up behind the girl and hissed "Fi!" in her ear before sticking her tongue out at the younger girl. Dropping the books onto the table, she slipped into a seat and asked, "So then, who's the target? And why?" Why, she thought, was almost more interesting than who. She was rather fond of themed revenge, made the whole thing more fun.

For a split second Ophelia surged with anger at the fact someone had mistaken her for Fi of all people. She spun around about to give whoever it was, probably some daft Gryff 1st year, a talking to. But OH! It was EMILIA! Blasted Fi business.

Making a face at the older girl, she replied with an "EEEmilia." before settling down in her seat again. She pushed the massive books out of the way and propped her elbows up on the table.

"Oh ALL these bloody Gryffs. I'm tired of them." She made a sweeping motion with her arm and dramatically sighed in annoyance. "Specifically two, but to my mind the whole lot can go."

She edged up a bit and paused for effect before adding, "They hexed me. Hex-happy, I say. One of 'em even got out of detention."

Unimpressed, Emilia raised an eyebrow at the emphasised E on her name before returning to the matter in hand. "Gryffindors again?" she spat. "I tell you there's nothing worse than a stray lion with ideas above his station." She'd never liked the house but Emilia was fast becoming even more displeased with them. She'd had several pleasant dreams the past week about their blasted tower toppling over and doing away with the lot of them and a smile flickered across her face as she remembered them.

"Not to worry," she said confidently, "Gryffindors are easy enough to deal with. Stupid, you see. Get themselves into things they can't get out of because they've not got the brains to think things through." As she said the last sentence she tapped the side of her head twice, and curled her lip slightly. "Which one was it, anyway?"

"Two of them. Ganged up y'see," Ophelia replied, after nodding her way through the rest of what Emilia had said. True of course, stupid blighters. And completely off their rocker.

She leaned back and held a hand up, two fingers extended. "Fi McFinn was one." Here she stopped to give Emilia an amused look, and to tick one finger off. "And that Erik bloke, who's mad by the by," she curled up her last finger and leaned back towards the table.

"This thing's more for him really. At least, what Preston came up with is."

Fumbling in her bag for a moment, Ophelia pulled out a wrinkled piece of paper that had been scribbled over profusely. The sentence she wanted Emilia to see, however, was still legible: COHEN: ONE DOWN, ONE TO GO. She pushed the scrap towards the other girl and grinned.

"I need a spell to... you know, spell it out. In the air. Big like!"
