Rylie had gone to Hogsmeade alone, which was perfectly fine with her. A few of the girls in her dorm had asked her if she wanted to get up early and head for Honeydukes, but she had politely declined. Surely, she had been to Hogsmeade enough times in her life at Hogwarts to allow her to go a bit later in the day. In fact, she had slept in, and enjoyed the quiet sounds of an emptied common room.

As soon as she felt ready, she grabbed her journal and headed out on her own. As third years excitedly peeked into shop windows, she headed for a spot she knew she'd find few, if any, familiar faces. Schrivenschaft's Quill Shop. She needed a few more quills, as she went through them quickly with her writing, and was hoping to find one that could write in different scripts. She found that sometimes her own handwriting, during late nights of thinking, could often be difficult to read.

She smiled as she noticed Sebastian tapping on the door of the shop. She quietly snuck up behind him and grinned.

"Seb love, what on earth are you doing?"

Sebastian jumped at the unfamiliar sound of a voice. He had heard no voices for an hour at least. Though this particular voice, in and of itself, was awfully familiar. Turning around slowly, he decided to blink at Rylie.

"I'm attempting to buy a quill." He said, as though it should be obvious. Which, honestly, it should be. Schrivenschaft's sign wasn't very large but what it lost in size it more than made up for in avant garde coloring. The word Quill was in bright blue, on a rather clashing sunset orange backround. Eye-catching, to say the least.

"Though, I'm beginning to think the manager has passed on. Or gone to visit his mum. Something." He grinned at the older girl and was about to go back to politely tapping on the door before adding, "And what are you doing here then?"

She could tell that she had startled him, at least for a moment, and she smiled even more brightly as he turned to face her. He had obviously not realised she was joking with him, since he told her he was buying a quill. She could clearly see that was what he was up to, as she was there for the same thing.

"I should think it apparent that I am also here to purchase a quill," she told him and put a hand to her forehead as she peered into the window.

It was definitely looking a bit... empty in there. Maybe he was right about that manager visiting his mum thing.

"It's a Saturday! Surely there must be someone around! Even if this isn't a, er, frequented shop on the weekends."

Well of course she was buying a quill. Sebastian resisted the urge to ask her what the make was because you don't use the word 'make' unless you're talking about mechanical things and hence were a mechanical sort of person. Which he was not. Obviously. Instead he made an "Ahh"ing sound and gave one more tap on the door before turning back around and leaning against it, arms stubbornly crossed.

"If they are around they are not being very businesslike. I should boycott it. Boycott it by... um, standing out here and waiting. Boycott by boredom."

He turned slightly, paused, and knocked once on the door a bit louder. Then he felt bad for what if he seemed rude? Looking back at Rylie he shrugged.

"Perhaps you could knock it down? The door, I mean."
