Chen stood outside the door of the Arithmancy classroom, hoping that this room would finally be the right one. He was duped by too many students, telling him that the club wouldn't be held in said classroom, but everywhere else in the castle. He heard it was in the Greenhouses, and then the Great Hall, and then the dungeons...

By now, he didn't trust anyone anymore.

Carefully, after brushing off his robes, he pushed the door open. Quietly peeking inside, Chen found one of his favorite professors in the castle! This must be the right place!

"Good evening, Professor!" Chen greeted Sorrows happily.

Looking down at himself briefly, he made sure his robes were clean, and that his badge wasn't crooked. He tucked a bit of hair behind his ear before choosing a place in the room to stand in.

Oh, but Chen's robes had looked so nice and clean!

She didn't walk through the door so much as she fell through it, and she didn't fall through it so much as she blasted through it, knocking over Chen and whatever else might've had this misfortune of getting in her way (read: a lamp). the commotion was startling to anyone who didn't know Louvika Hawkins (read: Professor Askes) and perfectly normal for anyone who did.

Or maybe not.

From somewhere around Chen's heels emerged the little (or so she appeared) girl with her tangle of red-gold curls and her hourglass figure. She smiled at everyone in the room in turn (including the very unfortunate lamp and Professor Askes' desk.

"'ey there, mates. Wassit?"

Cameo was just walking towards the arithmancy classroom when she heard a crash. Or rather a series of crashes. Perhaps she had been late and the dueling had already commenced? No, she had made sure to be punctual.

The blonde girl stood at the doorframe, taking in the scene. There were a few students, Professor Askses at his desk, wait... a few students entangled on the floor. Was that Chen?! While not having participated in many duels, Cameo was absolutely certain they did not begin by way of tackling, and was rather surprised to see the boy on the ground.

She walked cautiously around Louvika and Chen, nodding to the boy with a polite and curious smile, and ignoring the redhead. No doubt she was the cause, Gryffindors were always so painfully... loud. Why not be clumsy as well?
“Hello Professor, hello Sum,” she greeted the pair at the head of the classroom. She had been pleased to hear the club would take place in his class, as he was one of her favorite professors. If he was in charge, things were sure to be ran fairly.

"Ack!" Chen cried as he was knocked to the floor. What the bloody hell was going on!? He blinked a few times, just to make sure his head was still ticking correctly. Merlin, that was going to hurt later...

He felt his face flush when Cameo entered the room, smiling at him. He gave her an exasperated look that almost said 'I don't start duels with tackles, I promise!!' Chen's eyes darted toward the red-head that seemed to pop out of nowhere at his feet. Where did Lou come from!?

... Then it clicked.

"Leave it to Lou Hawkins to start such a mess, this early on!" he joked, smiling pleasantly at the Gryffindor. "Oh my-- My robes!"

Chen pouted as he lifted his sleeve up, examining the accumulating dust and/or dirt on the end of it. He rolled his eyes playfully at Lou, getting up to brush himself off again.

Peter practically galloped into the room after the older students, looking around excitedly to see who was there. Once he had heard about the club he had immediately decided that he was coming. Because it was a DUELING CLUB!! IT WAS BRILLIANT! Maybe they would be flinging people across the room! Or rolling around like secret agents and then firing their wands like guns and getting their attacker with a vicious tickling attack!

Needless to say, he was plenty excited. Especially since his favorite people EVER were here! Lou, Chen, Cameo and a professor with a cat? BRILLIANT! This couldn't get any better.

"Hi!" he said with a bit of a bounce and then looked down at Lou, "What happened? Why are you on the floor? Was it part of a brilliant entrance?!" He was sure it was.

"Would it be anything else, m'love?" Louvika asked her little fellow, Master Petah. He simply knew her too well, didn't he? Bless 'im.

She grinned broadly at Chen, not even noticing how distainful her cousin's bestie was being. Maybe it was because Cameo (and Illiad for that matter) were just always that way around her, or maybe she was just pretending people weren't so meeean. Whatever it was, she was clearly not going to let Cameo ruin her day.

She patted down Chen with something more than friendly affection, giving him a rather pervy smile.

"Howssit, baby-boy?" she asked, before kissing him on the side of the mouth. While their last encounter had been very amusing, it had also been quite intimate.

Speaking of... "Where's your pretty brother, babe? Hey Cami," she said, winking at the girl and using the nickname Illiad used for her.

Chen flushed and moved back from Lou, almost reaching up to wipe the side of his mouth. What was that for!? Did she want him to explode from embarrassment right here on the spot? He adjusted his robes quickly, even though there was no need for adjusting anything.

And since when was Chen his brother's keeper!?

"Who knows where he is. He could be anywhere. Something's telling me that he'll be a little late, and he's hurrying this way as we speak," Chen sighed, rubbing his temples. "Ugh. Always 'fashionably late', it would seem."

Chen flashed a quick smile at Peter, as if it was his form of a greeting, before pulling his purple ribbon from around his wrist. He was getting better at socializing... Maybe!

Twinsy point for Chen! In came the gallant Kazu himself!

Kazu flung himself against the doorway, peeking in carefully. He hoped he wasn't too late! That would have been bad. It wasn't like he'd never been late before, but this was the dueling club. He couldn't be late for that, right?

"Evenin'!" he greeted, flashing his characteristic grin at all who occupied the room. "Sorry, my wand lost me for awhile! Hope I didn't miss too much... Heeey, Lou! And little Peter, too! This is going to be a wicked club!"

Kazu walked lazily through the door, reaching into his pocket for his favorite hair tie. He only reserved this hair tie for special occasions, like Quidditch or cooly dueling clubs. So there it was, in all of its golden glory, dangling from his fingers.

"Hope I won't embarrass you by wearing a ponytail, Chen," Kazu teased, kicking his brother in the butt. "You could wear one too, you know. We'd be maaaatching!"

If it wasn't her other favorite half of the Takurai boys!

Grinning broadly at his enterence, Lou flung her arms around the boy who'd entered, simultanteously pulling on his pony tail. It was kinda cute, she'd decided, twirling it around her fingers. Who ever said Loop-Dee-Lou Hawkins wasn't affectionate? Nah, she loved physical touching, and not just in the dirty way.

She giggled a little stupidly at the words Kazu chose to say to his brother. "That would be awesome," was the only comment as she released Kazu from her grip.

"But don't kick Chenny in the butt, poor devil! You might bruise something very important to me and a few other people," she winked again. She had definitely not forgotten the excusion in the empty classroom that one day. She might have to pick up on that again some other time, fun as it had been. It had always been a dream of hers, having twins for her own personal amusement.

"How's your bum, Chen-san?"

Well now, this was amusing.

Sorrows watched the children interacting with a smile on his face, nodding when he was greeted. They certainly seemed to be a different bunch.

He knew a few of them from his classes-- lovely and brilliant Cameo, who came to him when she had troubles or needed to talk, dark Illiad who did extremely well in his class but hated answering personal questions and usually got cold-shouldered by most of the rest of the class, Kazuki who was always munching away at something but was smart and kind. And then there were the new ones-- the fellow who must be Kazuki's brother. He seemed a lot shyer than his twin. The red-headed girl who he knew to be a Hawkins-- but only because the Charm teacher, the dreaded Genie o'Dwyer moaned about her so much. There was the young fellow, who Sorrows was particularly fond of. It was never too early to start learning how to Defend one's self. And then there was Bacchus Donovan-- who didn't know him for all his loud glory ( ... )

Andy could hear voices inside the classroom which meant this duelling thing had already begun. He began to question his reasons for even coming in the first place. Did he really think it was going to improve his duelling skills? Most probably not. He much preferred fighting the muggle way, with fists, but he supposed he had to learn this defense stuff one day. Might come in handy kicking some mean Slytherin's butt ( ... )

Cameo’s temper flared when not only did the insolent girl wink at her, but called her “Cami.” She would refrain from hurting the girl, she told herself, because she was Illiad’s cousin. But she hated to hear that nickname fall lightly on the lips of someone she was not close to. Illiad used it, her muggle friend Sandra used it, but nearly anyone else using it was sure to ignite something horrid in her. About to make a comment, Chen’s brother flew into the room. It was her opinion that entrances could be made quietly, or at least without flinging, flying, or tackling. You end up in the same place, no matter how flamboyant you are about it.

Cameo’s body was urging her to hiss, or crinkle her nose in disgust, or to... do something to demonstrate visually her inner repulsion in the general direction of the Gryffindors. Because that was what it was, repulsion. Public displays of affection such as those they were spouting were unnecessary. If Louvika wanted to molest Chen or smother Kazu, she could certainly find a place to do it ( ... )

Please! To Louvika, the only reason Cameo didn't like seeing such physical affection was because she wasn't gettin' none herself! If Cameo was getting laid a little more often, well, then, maybe she would understand kissing friends and make-out buddies and the like. And if she really liked Andrew Frazer so much...! WELL! Lou could tell her a thing or two about what she herself and the male muggleborn had done! Not that Cami would ever give her the chance to say anything, buuut, y'know ( ... )

"'Nuff that, Lou, old-girl," Bacchus said, calmly. He was used to his cousin's weird little questions and quirks, used to keeping them in check for her when she most needed in (for instance, reeling her back in whenever she got too close to foreign wizards at Quidditch tournaments-- she was a touchy-feely sort of girl and there were plenty of elder men who didn't mind taking advantage of that). It was like guiding a pony along a path, and someone had to do it.

And by the way? Bacchus definitely caught that look from Andy. How could he not? He'd been waiting for it all evening, but the little ass was ignoring him! Probably all Bacchus deserved for ignoring him all last week, but whatever. Bacchus would get him back through his usage of spandex and muscles. How awesome would it be if Andy popped a boner here and now? Oh God, Bacchus would laugh his ass off.

And then he'd probably pull Andy into a cubboard and shag him senseless.

Reguardless.

"Askes, you only one teachin' this? Let's get it goin', brother, I'm excited!"
