Week Name/Date/Time: “Duelly Noted” / Monday, November 27th, 2006 / 1:21 pm Location: Grounds by the lake Open To: Anyone! And everyone! Currently Involving: Petah the Great
Li loved Mondays! She could sleep in however late she wanted, and the only class she had was Potions at three! How could a day get any better? Well, besides not having class at all... Or having a Quidditch game, like on Saturday! Li was pumped for it, and she wasn't even on a team that was playing!
Naturally, she would wave a flag for Gryffindor. The Gryffindor team was just too fabulous NOT to cheer for, not to mention their captain was her favorite seventh year in the entire WORLD!
Hey, speaking of Quidditch... Li heard a voice commentating a game somewhere on the grounds... Whoever they were, they had a fantastically loud voice! Li loved it! But as soon as she listened further, Li knew EXACTLY who it was. She grinned to herself, stumbling upon the most adorable red-headed boy at school.
"What's this? OH NO!!! THE COMMENTATOR'S BEEN ATTACKED BY A NINJA!" Li cried, pouncing on top of Peter. Of course, the force of the impact sent them both tumbling to the ground.
Peter barely heard the yelling before someone pounced on top of him. An excited yelp flew out of his mouth as they both went tumbling. And then he was on his back staring up at the sky while giggles started to consume him. Uncontrollably. That was until he looked at who it was and then his face broke out into a wide smile.
"LI! THAT WAS BRILLIANT!" Erupting into more giggles, he rolled over to stifle them in the ground. Li was possibly one of his favorite people to go on adventures with. She was always fun and was never, ever boring. Like now! She was just brilliant through and through. At least in his eyes.
"You're not supposed to tackle the commentator!" He teased, turning his head to look at her.
Li joined in on the uncontrollable giggles. Peter was her absolute favorite to go on adventures with! Actually, he was the only one she ever wanted to go on adventures with! Everyone else would chicken out, or something. But Peter was just PERFECT!
She reached down and poked him, right in the middle of his stomach.
"Awww, I'm not?" she asked in a faux-curious voice. "But you're just too TACKLEABLE!"
Li giggled again before she started to tickle Peter wildly. A boy like him had to be ticklish ALL over, right?
Well it was no fun when everyone chickened out! Then you didn't get to go on the adventure! And the adventure was the best part for Peter. In fact sometimes he went on adventures without even knowing what he was adventuring for or doing. It was that much fun!
"No! Now the game won't be commentated! What will happen?!?!" Peter cried out, but he was smiling all the while, not serious at all. In fact he liked being tackleable, but he liked tackles in general! They were fun and exciting and unexpected! Who doesn't love them? That's right, no one!
Oh boy was Peter ticklish. He was ticklish everywhere, and once Li started to tickle him, Peter was wiggling and laughing insanely. His laughter was loud and frequently playful cries of "Li! Stoooop!" rang out of him, but they didn't sound too sincere. He was having too much fun right now!
Li giggled as she continued to tickle him. She was having too much fun as well! And besides, Peter looked far too adorable when he was laughing this much, and Li almost didn't want to stop! But she did know the feeling when she'd been tickled too much, somewhat resembling a time bomb filled with fits of laughter, and sometimes it became a little difficult to breathe...
"All right, all right... Peace, for now!" she cried, placing her palms against Peter's cheeks. "So, so, SOOOO! What's goin' on today, Peter? Huh? HUH?"
Li's eyes lit up as she saw the mini Quidditch field.
"WOOOOOOOOOOAH!! This is way cool!! A Quidditch game! So, what's goin' on? Who's winning? Can I play?"
Li was too excited for this. It was a Quidditch game! But not any old one, of course. It was MINI!! And Li loved it! She wanted to see the mini Quidditch players in action.
It did get a bit difficult to breathe, but Peter didn't even notice! He was too busy laughing and trying to get away from Li's ticklish fingers. And then suddenly her hands were away from his sides and on his cheeks. Now he could catch his breathe but AWW! No more fun
( ... )
Yeah! Yeah, Gryffindor for the win! Li bounced up and down with Peter as he showed her his mini Quidditch set. This looked like so much fun! Peter had the coolest toys in the world!
"This is brilliant, Peter!" Li giggled. "You'll have to teach me how to commentate. I think I might make for a nasty commentator!"
Her eyes lit up as she thought about the idea of commentating. She'd give so much life to the game! But only if she was with Peter. Otherwise, she would only be half of a commentator. And with Peter there, she could be a WHOLE commentator and a half!
"Oh, look! Look! Ravenclaw's in possession! Look at their chasers go!" she cried, her eyes alight with joy.
"You'd be brillant!" Peter said while flailing his arms a little. And if to prove his point she went on to start commentating on the game. "See, see that's it! The chaser swoops and dives, missing the bludger! He's diverting everyone!!"
He started bouncing a little on his toes while watching the game, his eyes huge with excitement. He LOVED Quidditch way too much and hadn't even thought about being a commentator. But how much fun would that be? Amazingly brilliant! They'd be the BEST commentators ever created!!
It was decided! The two of them would have to sneak to the game early and get into the commentator's box. They would make Saturday's game simply MARVELOUS!! Li bounced on her toes as well, sharing the adrenaline from the younger boy. This was just too much fun!
"OHHH!!! INTERCEPTED!!" Li cried, pointing with her left index finger rather dramatically. "There's Gryffindor and their amazing lead chaser, intercepting the Ravenclaw pass!"
Li put her hands on Peter's shoulders and bounced up and down some more. Her eyes followed the movement of the game, making sure that she was updated on everything that happened on the mini Quidditch set.
"Ravenclaw better step it up if they plan on winning! Gryffindor is looking terribly ferocious!!" she laughed.
It would be the sneakiest plan ever. And if McGoogles came to punish them she would surely give in to Peter. He was her FAVORITE! Or at least seemed to like to spend time in detention with him! So obviously she liked him!
Saturday was going to be AMAZING! Peter could barely contain his excitement.
"GRYFFINDOR'S GOING FOR THE GOAL! Ooohhh Claws almost got a hand on him but NO! He ducks and dives!!" Peter bounced under Li's hands, his eyes mesmerized by the game as he started to move with the game, mimicking the player's dives.
"We are!! Ferocious like lions! RAWR!" Peter yelled with glee, a smile bright across his lips. This was SO COOL!!
Oh, dear old McGoogles! Li liked the lady enough, but the old bat couldn't say no to a face like Peter's! He was just too cute! Oh yes, they were going to be commentators whether the old crone liked it or not!
"The Ravenclaw chaser just missed!!" Li cried, smiling brightly at the Quidditch set. "And there goes the Gryffindor chaser... HE SCORES!!!! GOOOOOOOOOAL!!"
Li threw up her hands and began clapping for Gryffindor, grinning at the handsome chaser.
"Good show, lions! Good show!!" she giggled. "Ravenclaw's in possession again!! But... the commentators are going to take a quick sugar break!"
Li reached into her back pocket and pulled out a couple of sherbet lemons, offering a few of them to the boy beside her. She smiled brightly at him before popping one into her mouth.
"Sherbet lemon?" she piped up, followed by a giggle.
"GO, GO, GO, GOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!" Peter cried along with Li, watching as the chaser made the goal. He started dancing on the spot, waving his arms in the air with excitement.
"Yep and there he goes, or she, sorry!" he said to the chaser that gave him an insulted look before concentrating on the game again. But he didn't mind, he just smiled and waved at her before practically turning a 180 on the spot at the word sugar.
Peter liked sugar. And sugar liked Peter. It didn't matter, Muggle or magical, he was hooked on it and practically would follow someone off a cliff in order to get some.
So he gleefully took the few she offered him and then popped one in his mouth, smiling wide.
"Thwank woo," he said said around the candy, looking towards her back pocket to see if more were going to come out.
Sugar was such a delightful thing! Li loved candy as much as she loved... EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD! She giggled when Peter happily took the sherbet lemons she offered. And when she caught his sneaky glance, she could only giggle some more. Peter was just like her! Always on the lookout for more candy!
"Ooh, I've got more than just sherbet lemons!" Li chuckled before wincing at the sour taste of the lemon. "Let's see what I brought with me today..."
Li furrowed her eyebrows as she reached into her back pocket. After a moment she instead rummaged through her robe pockets, eyes alight when she finally found a good assortment.
"Aha!" she cried. "Let's see... Bertie Bott's, Drooble's, Sherbet-- oh, we already had those! Ooooh, I've got Muggle candies too!"
Li wriggled her eyebrows at Peter. "D'ya like Tootsie rolls?"
That's why they got on so well! Li supplied candy and Peter ate it and fueled the obsession. Or something.
But he bounced excitedly as she started to look for more of the candy! He couldn't wait!! It was going to be great and wonderful and sugary!!! Oh the sugar would be brilliant!!
"YEAH!! THEY'RE THE BEST!!" Peter cried at the thought of Tootsie rolls. His mum had stopped having them in the house, but his Gran always had a handful to stick in his pocket all sneaky, sneaky. And now he got to eat them in the open along with lots of other candies! LI WAS AS GREAT AS DUMBLEDORE'S BEARD!!
Li laughed when Peter got so excited. She was good at this! She should've been called the Candy Doctor, because she was fairly good at prescribing the right candy for the right person. She smiled and pulled out a handful of Tootsie rolls from her robe pocket, offering them happily to Peter.
"Have as many as you like!" she giggled. "Aren't these just the best? I love them! So chewy and yummy..."
She put a finger on her chin as she pondered a very serious question.
"Which do you think is better, chocolate candies or gummy candies?" she asked, narrowing her eyes as she thought about it. Honestly, she loved both, but there was this certain greatness of gummy bears... But then Tootsie rolls! It was so hard to decide!
Peter grabbed the Tootsie Rolls quickly and opened one to put in his mouth along with the Sherbert Lemons. It was so good! Sweet and sour in his mouth making the best candy EVER. He should experiment and make his own candy!! He could start his own store! "Peter's Candy Mania" It would be brilliant!!
"Wyea," he said around the candies, nodding along with her while chewing on the Tootsie Rolls.
"Hmmm," he stroked his imaginary beard, thinking about this. It was a very serious question. Gummy candies and chocolate candies were very good but in different ways. "It depends on the mood. Gummy candies are sweet and delicious and get everywhere! But chocolate candies are chewy, chewy and make you all warm and fuzzy inside."
Naturally, she would wave a flag for Gryffindor. The Gryffindor team was just too fabulous NOT to cheer for, not to mention their captain was her favorite seventh year in the entire WORLD!
