Li trudged into the Great Hall, keeping her eyes on the floor. She reached up to scratch the back of her head, pondering her thoughts very carefully. Luckily, she didn’t have to look up to know where the Hufflepuff table was, or else she might have run into a few things, or people for that matter. Frowning, she continued to think.
What was so wrong with climbing the statues outside?
She’d been doing it for years, but only today did she finally get caught. Li had been happily climbing on her favorite statue outside the castle, munching on her candies peacefully, when she was politely asked to come down. At first, she thought it was a joke, so she refused, but when the man insisted (with the scent of ‘detention’ lingering in his voice), Li was forced to come down from her sanctuary.
Jeez, what did Professor Reed know, anyway? He was just a BORE. So, Li was banned from climbing the statues, which was definitely a downer on her day.
She plopped herself down on a seat at the Hufflepuff table, glancing around the Great Hall for something to do. Hmmm... No Bacchus, no Peter, and Maxie wasn’t at dinner yet...
Who could she bother tonight?
