It looked as though Amabel was wandering around the common room aimlessly, but she wasn't. Bambino, her new kitty, had escaped from her when she was playing with him and now she couldn't find him. He was somewhere near the couch with his bell-ball, and now he was gone. She'd only turned away from him for not even 10 minutes to work on a letter to Adam and wham! He was gone. A right escape artist, that one!
So she wandered around the Common Room, lifting up cushions on the couch, throwing pillows aside, crouching beneath end tables. "Someone must have sat on him alread," Mae said softly to herself. No, that couldn't be! Mae wasn't even here for whole week and her kitty was already missing and possibly dead! "BAMBIIIIIIIIII," she yelled out, hoping that the kitty would at least pop his had out of somewhere.
She could hear his 'Meeeeoooooow!' echoing throughout the common room. ...or was that just in her head? Either way, Mae cooed, "Keep meowing Bambi, keep meowing!"
