Mid-afternoon the week after testing and the common room was deserted. How did that happen? Noel sat in one of the large armchairs, laying her arms over the armrest, and crossing her ankles. One didn't need an audience to have good poise.
Noel wasn't sure whether to be miffed about OWL testing, or excited for the upcoming ball. Had she know the way OWLs would turn out she wouldn't have wasted all that time studying. However, she had just recieved her dress that daddy had sent for as soon as he recieved Noel's owl, so excitement easily won out over annoyance.
