Yes, apparently Avis Abernathy did clean up nicely. Though it did help when Tatiana was recruited as your personal stylist.
But a whole lot of help it did if all Avis was doing was sitting in her room all alone, being stubborn and wondering whether or not to just walk down there anyways. With or without anyone to go with.
Why hadn't he asked her?! What was his trip?! Did he already have someone to go with?! Did SHE always have to ask HIM?
Why did Avis care all of a sudden?!
Well, mostly because for some crazy reason, she actually tried to look "nice" for this dance, and it was all for not. And she was sitting alone in her empty dorm room, staring at the door stubbornly, as if it would "Accio!" that git over. Oy, this was all ridiculous. She'd give it another moment before she stomped on out and demanded him to show his gittish face. . .and see her looking all prettied up.
