Week Name/Date/Time: 'A Meeting of the Minds' / Monday, 26th, September / 7:12 a.m.
Location: Great Hall
Open To: Anyone (as long as it doesn't conflict, and I'm going to say 4 people MAX)
Currently Involving: Erik

Erik felt as though every fiber of his being was mourning. His brain was numb, his muscles deflated, and his mouth was dry as a desert. He hadn't had anything to eat or drink since the previous morning, which only managed to add to his discomfort. Juhi had gone to see him the night before and he couldn't have been more grateful, but it didn't make him want to see anyone else. In fact, it was only for his stomach that he stumbled into the Great Hall. Today was the day he packed his things and went home. Tomorrow they would bury his brother.

He had already planned his course of action. He would carefully avoid the Slytherin table and stare straight ahead to the Gryffindor one. He would stuff his face full of food, and pretend as though he wasn't answering questions due to table manners. He would exit, and he'd be free. So why wasn't it working out that way?

As he entered the Great Hall, he noticed several eyes were on him. He supposed that if one locked themself away an entire Sunday, they would be likely to receive looks. However, it was almost as if they knew, and that made his heart pound harder in his chest.

He took a seat without looking at anyone and began to sip violently at the water in front of him. It burned at first, but soon provided the soothing feeling he needed. Or it did, that is, until he noticed the Daily Prophet.

There it was, staring back at him as he lifted his eyes from the table top.

'Journalist Found Dead in Surrey - Dark Mark Overhead'

He choked.
