Brandon was not in a good mood. Granted, "good mood" was a relative term lately, everyone being so tense and all, but this was like a bad mood on downers. This was like he'd hit rock bottom, burst through it, came out the other side only to find fifty feet of crap, swam through that, and then there he was.
He tried not to storm out of the castle like a giant drama queen, but he had the feeling that he looked like one anyway.
It took a lot to get Brandon angry. He tended to be the laid-back sort. But he had had enough. He was ready to leave for the summer and get away from Hogwarts, even if that meant going back to his house, which was less safe than inside the castle walls. He didn't care at this point. He just wanted to get out of there.
He finally sat himself down, leaning against a tree by the lake, perfectly content to stew in his impotent rage.
And then he saw someone approaching him. He hoped, for their sake, that they came in peace and did not want to be taken to his leader, because he was seriously at the end of his rope.
