Something was not right. Something was quite wrong.
This was primarily seen by Avis up and awake on Sunday morning before noon. Or by the way she was sitting on the ground of the common room, facing the fireplace, hugging her knees and biting her lower lip awkwardly.
She hadn't been able to sleep in, kept awake by this weird feeling. Not guilt, not resentment, just utter and complete confusion. Maybe fear that Tatiana was right. Maybe she did fancy Ben.
It was preposterous. And impossible. And was probably just from that rather amazing occurrence back on Tuesday night.
Yeah, that made sense, right? Just. . .a side effect. Maybe once she saw Ben again, er, one more time, without snogging him, she'd be okay. And all this madness would be over.
She groaned to herself and dropped her head onto her knees, shutting her eyes tightly and continuing to be an absolute mardybum.
