Trying to keep control, indeed. Trying.

It was madness around the school lately, and leaving the order onto the Prefects was really a bad idea to begin with! Especially when the Professors themselves could hardly keep the endless snogging and pranking under control.

Nevertheless, she had been placed on rounds this week, and very boring ones at that. Adriana could admit that she was curious as to why there was a sudden up-rise in the amount of random snogging going on in almost any given place in the castle, but in the end it was just snogging. She was content with completely ignoring the sad and awkward attempts of the younger years dealing with teenage hormones.

"I suppose," she sighed out in reply, turning to glance at Noah as she continued walking down the current corridors. Oi, she was bored. True, at least she had someone to join her on these rounds, but this Ravenclaw clearly wasn't one for much conversation. Adriana couldn't recall even seeing the bloke before, only aware that his name was Noah thanks to being paired with ( ... )

It was a horrible idea to leave people like.. Troy and Charlie in charge of keeping other students in line when they were probably off taking advantage of the classless week themselves. Unfortunately, Noah was also having trouble coming up with a better solution. They couldn't be pulling more aurors away from their assignments just to make sure some mental fourth year didn't attempt to apparate inside the walls - ending in a splinching, no doubt. It couldn't be done, and so Noah was just fine with giving up his researching time for rounds.

Sadly, he was not so keen on spending all this time with Adriana Winters, of all people. He didn't know her, and anyone who knew Noah knew that he didn't converse well with strangers. Oy.

He was, however, making the effort. She might have been a Slytherin, she might have been dangerous (he honestly wouldn't know), but she was being civil, and the girl was being pulled away from her own plans as well. Noah could make the best of things, he just needed to try a lot harder than usual ( ... )

Well, Adriana wasn't as keen on giving up her time just to act like some babysitter for students she really had no concern towards! This wasn't taking away from anything particularly.. academic, but oh well! If she wanted to walk aimlessly around the castle for hours on end in complete boredom - she'd go become a bloody auror.

Adriana was very pleased that she was being civil, thank you very much. It was bad enough having to do these rounds, but being forced to do them with some unknown shy Ravenclaw didn't help! Well... she was thankful that she didn't get stuck with a Gryffindor. Good thing that Rylie girl had enough sense not to pair her with someone she'd sooner hex than work with ( ... )

Well, clearly it wasn't the best of situations, but she had to think of the greater good! Or at least of herself, because really? If she didn't keep a few students in line? The next thing she knew she'd be caught up in some horrifying situation, like... having an expensive dress stolen by a careless second year or... something, whatever it was that would make Adriana angry. Not that he was assuming she was a sob who would cry over something like a dress or... oh bugger it. The point was that there was a certain level of danger here, especially when everyone seemed so bloody OBLIVIOUS to... everything!

Noah wouldn't have been able to work with a Gryffindor either, meaning Erik Cohen. Honestly, the bloke was far too hyper for something this important. Oh bloody hell, if Charlie and Erik had rounds together? Noah thought perhaps it would be best he pack his trunk, just in case something terrible did happen ( ... )
