Live and let die. The past is past. Whatever happened at Hogsmeade did exactly that, happen. Why dwell on it when it can not be changed? With a Time Turner maybe but it was just rather useless. True, the Purebloods did not deserve death; they were already a dying breed as it was, with half-bloods and mudbloods forcing themselves up the ranks to try and act as if they matter. All of this was what Jaser had thought at least.
A hero might he seem in the instance, since Rae could no longer think properly about her school work. Transfiguration was still one of his very best subjects, except now he hated McGonagal for landing him in detention. Old bat. The Minister of Magic was bloody brilliant. He suspended Albus Dumbledore and put her in charge of the school. Fie. Well now though, it would seem that he would be put through Animagus training. That was a plus to this whole thing. In that way he did like McGonagal. He might have even caught saying "Go go Gryffindor!".. as he set himself on fire.
Jaser made his way over to the table in which Rae seemed to be forcing Transfiguration knowledge down her own throat. This would have to be remedied. He placed himself againt the edge of the table as he watched her squerm fantically about her books and parchments, then locked his fingers together in his lap. The usual grin on his lips as well.
Exactly why no Purebloods should die in Rae's opinion. They needed everyone they could get to make sure that those filths knew that they didn't matter. And the more people they had on their side, the worse it could be. At least in her opinion that is.
A hero? Perhaps he was but sadly it was only because of her homework dilemma which, in her mind, hardly counted as hero material. Just a helpful friend who valued the success of another. And as far as the Minister of Magic was concerned, of course he was brilliant. Though she believed he took far too long to extract Dumbledore. Wasn't it obvious that the old baffoon was hopeless in trying to stop anything from happening?
Feeling a pair of eyes on her, she ignored the person until she heard a familiar voice and grinned a little. Finally, now she could really get down to work...or something to that effect.
"Had to do something while waiting for your arrival," she said with a raised eyebrow, leaning back in her chair after putting down her quill. "Besides, why should I waste your time with petty questions?"
Purebloods were decreasing in number, yes, but there was no need to worry about what they were up against. Mudbloods and half-breeds were inferior to their race of wizards and witches; they lacked the skill and class to which the Purebloods had. It was a pathetic ideal to try and measure them. They were on completely different levels.
Helping others while they were in a state of panic did indeed qualify as hero characteristic, would it not? So in that way wouldn't he have been? Dumbledore did slow things a bit from the Dark Lord's plans, but still Jaser preferred him than to McGonagal. Now that he was removed from office though, that would allow the core of the headmaster's thoughts to be completely focused on the plans of Lord Voldemort. Lucius Malfoy, the Minister of Magic, was a bloody idiot beyond all accounts.
Jaser leaned towards her, as she sat back from him, with a grin on his face, "No question is petty when it your beautiful lips Rae." Flattery always got Jaser everywhere and he knew it. He liked to splash ladies with compliements especially if he thought it could lead him to a snog or two. He then pulled back to his previous straightened position, "Where shall we begin?"
Rae grinned at him slyly, gladly soaking in any compliments he dished out. Not that it wouldn't be reciprocated of course, but with their nature even a previously innocent encounter could turn interesting within a few comments. They didn't do anything more than flirt shamelessly, though it did add a certain spin to it.
"And no compliment is as flattering as when it comes off your lips," she said with a little smirk before watching him pull back to his previous stance. Hmm the view was not too shabby if she did say so herself.
Glancing down at her books, she tried to decided which would be the most important for her to know. Might as well get the worst out of the way so that it wouldn't be hanging over her head, right? "Human transfiguration."
Her comment back to him rather impressed him. Very witty. Then again, it never took much from Rae Burton to arouse his.. ego, as one would say. Jaser's view of her was not so bad either. It was no lie or secret that he did find her attractive. Only a thick headed mudblood would be too stupid to realize it. It was rather obvious, and fortunate, that Jaser was not a mudblood.
His face went rather blank when she asked about human transfiguration. It wasn't that he didn't know how, just that he had forgotten which wasn't like him at all. And soon, as a result of the attack, some select students were to undergo Animagi training, which he was one of the lucky few. This would have been a good thing to brush up on for himself. Maybe he could do his own research. It was a Thursday after all.
Jaser stood up slowly then turned his body next to her chair, bending his knees a bit as he took one of the many books Rae had stacked there to help her with her homework. "That would be something that even I would need an extra hand in." He started as he began to look at the titles, "Well, if you started in more proper textbooks on the subject, this might be easier." He pulled back from the books and stood back on his feet, then pulled the chair out for her so she could stand and he could lead her in the right direction of finding something that could help her.
It was fortunate that Jaser was not a mudblood, for that reason and more. Otherwise it would be completely inappropriate for her to find him just as attractive. Not only that but to be having these types of conversations at all.
His face went blank? Well wasn't that promising? Of course she knew that he would help her immensely with the subject, but it was a little disturbing to know that the person who needed to help you needed some refreshing. The subject was quite difficult in her estimation so there were some allowances, besides it wasn't as if she needed to actually know it. Though she would love to learn something as complex as that, she knew her weaknesses and unfortunately Transfiguration was one of them.
"I thought I picked the proper ones," she glanced up as he looked at her books and then pulled away. Getting up once her chair was pulled out, she smirked at him, "But at least you are here to point me in the right direction."
If Jaser Cross found himself in the position to be a mudblood, the first thing he would think about doing would be to use the Killing Curse on himself. That would mean just still one less mudblood in the world. There would be no lude conduct around Rae Burton from him then. Still, there was no chance of that alternate universe idea coming into effect so that was nothing he had to contemplate.
Someone's greatest weakness was another's greatest strength. Survival of the fittest. Rae was lucky to have had gotten his offer to help her then. Transfiguration was indeed one of his greatest strengths. Not everyone was perfect though Jaser would deny the fact to say that he wasn't. Any of the Cross family would, especially the mother and wife, Ambrosia. Yet, they were not in any position to brag, nor would they, unless they were in a battle of words and knew it could be used to their own advantage.
Jaser could not help but get a quick glance at Rae's hind quarters as she stood up from the chair. Firmly round, and it perfectly fit into her waist. What could he say? She was one goregous Snake. He moved his eyes quickly back to her face, hopefully before she had the chance to notice, not that it mattered. He knew she would smirk about it somewhat if she had seen him.
Returning the smirk Rae shot at him as he took her hand and began to make his way with her to the back of the library behind the bookshelves, "The pleasure is all mine. You would have found it with or without me. I garauntee you that." He knew she would have. She was a brilliant, young woman and had the goal in mind to finish what she had to get done. All he had to do for her would be to get her there more quickly.
Oh Rae knew that no one was perfect, after all she somehow came into this world has a halfblood. Her mother had plenty of issues which had been subdued, thankfully, with the careful supervision of Francis, but that would never make Rae forgive her. But it happened and there was nothing she could do about it now. Besides, Francis always said it was how you dealt and overcame your weaknesses that made a person.
That glance at her 'hind quarters' did not go unnoticed and he was right. A smirk did cross her lips as she looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Enjoying the view?" She didn't mind it at all and almost expected it of him. She was gorgeous and he was a boy, if he didn't check her out then she would have something to worry about.
Rae let him guide her towards the back of the library where the books would be, casually glancing at the books as they went by them. "I'm sure I would have, but not without more time and aggravation I'm afriad," she replied smoothly. And she might have let her finger graze the inside of his hand. Just maybe.
At this point in time, it was good that Jaser did not know that Rae had had both a pureblood and a sodding half-blood for parents, or he would have nothing to do with her. She did in fact though renounce her birth father for being the pathetic excuse for magical doer that he was, other than her own reasons, and that was something to find noble. Who really knew what Jaser would think if he did find out. Ignorance is bliss. Sometimes anyway, in certain cases.
Jaser would have agreed with Francis. It depends on one's actions whether you are worthy to live in this world. You might not be wanted in the world, but still it would prove your worth. Professor Dumbledore was certainly one fine example of that.
His infamous smirk grew wider on his lips when he had found she had discovered his naughty little glance down her backside. If that was the rule reguarding about taking a look at Rae Burton, then it would be very clear that he was not to be worried about. He tilted his head "The fruit that is most forbidden is that which is most sweetest, Ms. Burton." In other words: hell yes. Forbidden, of course though meant nothing to Jaser Cross. Someone had forgotten to write that word down in his vocabulary.
Once they had gone back far enough to where the books that the did indeed need lie, he stopped and turned to her.
Let the games begin.
The deviant pulled her close and ran his hand along her back. He took notice, now that he was standing so closely with her, that she was a bit taller than Adriana was. Normally when he and Adriana would have a snog, he would have to lean down but if he did with Rae as he somewhat had in mind to do, he wouldn't have to so much. "Well then, since I save you so much time, you're no longer in need to be in a hurry are you?" Jaser brushed his lip underneath his top teeth as he slowly dragged his fingers along her thigh.
If only that was all that was wrong with her blood. No she didn't have a half-blood father, in some ridiculous fashion her father was a Muggle. A mudblood! Really it baffled her why she would even consider someone like that to be worthy of marrying and producing children with. No one knew this though, if anything they knew that Francis wasn't her real father. Ignore was indeed bliss, and she intended on keeping everyone that way.
Rae shook her head at his comment and rolled her eyes a little. Forbidden fruit? Ha he wished he could have a piece.
When Jaser pulled her close though, she had to hold back her surprise. Yes she should have expected something like this, after all they were quite the flirters, but she was more focused on her studies. But no worries, she could easily change mind frames.
She looked up at him and smiled slyly, letting his hand run along her back and his fingers drag up her thigh. Well he was starting quickly wasn't he? "I suppose not," she said, placing her hands up against his chest and letting them slowly make their way upwards. "What would you suggest I do with my extra time then?"
Yes she still kept that semi-innocent smirk on her face, though she didn't really know what would come of this. Probably more of their intense flirting and provocations before they got back to work, but she wouldn't be opposed to more.
Wishing was for dreamers. Jaser was a man of action, thought out action, but action none the less. When he said something or wanted something, he would have no doubt starting after it. The Cross boy could have had this Burton girl at any time as he deemed necessiary, but he allowed their little games to continue because of the fact it was all one thing, fun.
He indeed think she would change her mind if needed, and now would have been that sort of situation to where she had to. Jaser was never usually so forward except with Rae. It was sometimes his only weapon to stay in the race for the tension to grow between them when they were having their conversations where they implied playful sarcasm and whatnot.
Jaser gave a devilish grin, which rather looked like the face of a cat that had just gobbled up a small bird, as she made her comment about what they could do in the spare time they had. He gave a noise of hmmm before starting again, "Perhaps a little reading for pleasure would suit you?"
With his left hand, he reached up to the bookshelves and grabbed a rather large book then flipped it open. "This looks interesting, don't you think?" He pressed his lips up against hers and played his bottom lip along hers. It was rather hard to snog and hold a book at the same time but it was possible.
((Sorry for the delay. We should try and wrap this up today before the week change.))
He was only forward with her? Well that little tid bit was nice to know, even made her feel a little special. Maybe it would even persuade Rae to change her mind, not that it needed much help. Already she had pushed away her studies to the back of her mind for the moment.
Rae raised an eyebrow at his comment and smiled, "Perhaps." And when he reached up to the bookshelves she looked out of the corner of her eyes to see what book he was getting. Yes she knew that he wasn't really thinking about spending the time reading, but it at least amused her that he had gotten one.
Of course when she went to reply his lips were on hers. An interesting turn of events no doubt, in fact she smirked for a second before starting to kiss him back. Now this was interesting.
"Very," she mumbled against his lips, her arms making their way around his neck. The book was almost forgotten in her mind now and she almost hoped it stayed that way. This was, after all, much more entertaining than studying Transfiguration.
Without being able to focus on kissing her well while having his arm stretched out, Jaser dropped the book by their side then he slid his hand back down her side and pulled her leg up against him. His other hand now situated in support of her back to keep her held comfortably against him. He wrapped his lips around hers and continuously moved them together. His tounge began to slide into her mouth and found its way to hers for a nice game of "tonsil hockey", a sport commonly known to young people of their age of all varieties.
He pressed body into hers and had her propped up against the bookshelf. Now that he was also leaning against her, their weight was added together. Unnoticeably, the bookshelf from behind Rae started falling backwards but then as Jaser felt a lack of support begin, he stood back up and moved Rae. Sadly though it was too late. The bookshelf had already begun to fall and just in a domino effect, it hit every other bookshelf on the way down.
On the inside, Jaser was having the time of his life and laughing his butt off, though on the outside, he just stood there in shock as he had his arm around Rae.
A hero might he seem in the instance, since Rae could no longer think properly about her school work. "I see you started without me."
