Week Name/Date/Time: "Meeting of the Minds" / Sunday, 25th September, 2005 / 11:00PM Location: An empty classroom Open To: Zoe Currently Involving: Soren
Zoe trudged her way up to the sixth floor where Soren had wanted to meet her. He was seriously beginning to worry her, he'd been distant for a while and it wasn't like him. She missed days when Soren, Treff and herself would laze around outside and be total idiots.
Zoe was panting by the time she reached the right floor (having started from the Dungeons!). She came to the right door and peeked in. The room was dimly lit but she could see enough to spot Soren straight away. He was sitting at a window and the only word she could think to describe him was 'tired'.
Soren looked up when he heard the voice and gave her a wave in greeting as well. “Hey, Zoe. I can’t believe I would actually use this phrase when we’ve been in the castle together all this time but, ‘long time no see.’” He grinned at her; it was good to finally see her again. With the classes sorted out by house and with Prefect duties and occasional flying practices among other things, he had really seen neither heads nor tails of the girl.
He missed their crazy threesome outings in weird locations doing even weirder things.
“Take a seat. I trust you brought those treats you promised yesterday.” He teased. First things first, getting back in touch with an old friend was important.
She reached into her robes and pulled out a packet of Beartie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, along with some marshmellows and 3 pumpkin pasties. "Did I bring the treats, he asks! What a daft question!" She sat down on the floor and after a good 'scourgify' charm, spread the food evenly on the floor. "Picnic?" she asked and fluttered her eyelids sweetly. It was an inside joke, something from a few years back and even though there was know one else there, she felt privately connected to Soren again in a way no on else was.
She wanted to rush him and demand to know what was going on, but she had a feeling patience might be the way to go today.
He eyed the candies approvingly; trust Zoe to always bring the best treats for an evening picnic. “Picnic? Of course.” He slid down from his seat by the window and moved to the ground across from Zoe and seated himself comfortably. Using a nearby desk as something to lean against.
Pumpkin pastries came first; they were one of Soren’s favourite desserts. He picked up one and took a small bite, tasting first just in case there were any surprises like a certain event in his third year.
“So, how have you been lately, Zoe? I don’t think we ever got a chance to talk after that crazy jump in the lake idea of yours.”
[[ Eep! Bye! :O Hopefully you won't come back at my bedtime or anything. ]]
