((Haha, good timing as I just check my flist! XP))

Adriana would have had a boring morning in classes - if she had actually gone. She didn't sleep in - she only wished - no, instead she just spent the morning in the common room, lounging on the long leather couch. While it probably looked nothing out of the ordinary for Adriana Winters to be sitting in the Slytherin Common Room, she in fact was lazying around, not waiting for or watching someone.

The effects from being poisoned last week were slowly wearing off completely, but they were yet to still not make her drowsy and weak. It was bloody irritating and Adriana would have absolutely loved to punch Dari in her other eye this time, but frankly she wouldn't get very far since she could hardly stand at the moment. Regrettably, the Ravenclaws consequence for her potion would have to be delayed for now ( ... )

"Oh, we did many brilliant things. Most of which consisted of throwing Gryffindors out windows," He replied, his voice level the entire time. If you didn't know James and his - oh so amazing - sense of humour? It would've been impossible to cop on that the boy was being sarcastic. "Or is that just wishful thinking?" James rolled his eyes and dropped into the space next to Adriana, quite content to lazy it up with the girl.

He ran a hand through his hair, pushing it back out of his eyes so he could see the girl better. She appeared to be getting better. Or at least, she looked a lot better than she had the day before. James hadn't really kept up with the scandal, all he knew was punching and poisoning did not make for happy girls. Bad buzz, really. "But I'm sure you had amazing adventures that you're going to share with me to make up for a morning of drab translating and scratching?" Oh, he loathed Runes. So much.

Adriana widened her eyes at James' response, as if completely excited with his statement about tossing of Gryffindors. "Oh, James, the one day I don't attend!" she sarcastically cried in a low, sad voice, pouting. Just because she wasn't feeling the greatest, didn't mean she wasn't still snarky.

Switching legs to cross, Adriana looked back at him as he sat next to her, intently watching him. It made her anxious to not look her absolute best, the make-up charms and concealers did most of the work, but it was almost impossible to hide that slight cut on her lip from Jeremy's... err, snog-attack. It would be already healed but there was no way Adriana was stepping foot into the hospital wing again for the rest of the bloody year ( ... )

"Horrid timing really, I just know you would've enjoyed it...all that scarlet and gold blood sprayed across the ground, slowly staining the grass a dark purple," James continued, pausing for a moment to embrace the image he'd set up. Why no, of course it didn't involve pathetic little first year children splattered across the ground! James was definitely thinking older for this one, where was the fun in destroying children in such a quick and violent way? "Beautiful sight ( ... )

"You always know exactly what to say to make me terribly jealous," she remarked, crossing her arms with a narrowing of her eyes as she sighed at James, though a slight smirk was on her features. "I must have you take notes next time." Adriana curled some hair behind her ear, taking a glance around the common room idly ( ... )

"If such a thing ever did happen, I'd be sure to take photos," James assured beginning to plan out a time where this would be acceptable behaviour. Perhaps they could pull it off one day ( ... )

"I shall hold you to that, Mr. Foster," she remarked with a narrowing of her eyes, a mock serious tone as she pointed her index finger out at James threateningly.

Of course she knew what his mind had jumped to. Two girls fighting. Ha. You didn't need an active imagination to figure out what a seventeen year old male would think of in that kind of scenario. Nevertheless, it was amusing to Adriana to watch the frown on James' face.

"I'm afraid it wasn't much of an actual duel, the fool dropped her wand off the roof on my first hex," she mused, smirking as she thought back to the details of the dream. "She then jumped at me like some animal and by the end I had choked her. Could have been simply unconscious, I couldn't say for sure, although there is an obvious other option to which I would prefer to believe." Adriana glanced back to James, then, a simple knowing smile on her face. It was a thrilling image, to watch the lights go out from your enemies eyes. She always imagined more along the lines of the killing curse to do such a ( ... )

Of course she would. Now between planning it and everything else he was now going to have to find a camera. Well, bugger it all then. It wasn't worth that much effort.

"She then jumped at me like some animal"James brightened. Clothes or no clothes, he wasn't about to turn down a description of a catfight! He listened contently, returning her own smile with a smirk. He'd had similar dreams himself, imagining different scenarios to set people up so to see the life rush out from them in their final gasping breath? Anyone that couldn't share the pleasure in these visions was someone James didn't care for. Fallen enemies. They brought the greatest pleasure, whether real or fictional. Grand or subtle it didn't matter. The same feeling of power overcame his senses in these dreams. To control who lives and who dies? James wouldn't turn it down ( ... )

Adriana would have been quite intrigued to learn of his likeness towards the thought of taking the life from someone. It seemed too many students these days acted loyal and serious about the future war, but when it came down to it, would bolt at the idea of killing. It was pathetic.

It also would have been interesting to hear James' dream detail concerning Professor Snape. Adriana wasn't enamored with the man as most Slytherins seemed to be, but she easily found him bearable considering she could get away with anything in his presence.

"Potions," she repeated in a thoughtful tone, her face then cringing slightly. "I've had quite enough dealing with potions for the rest of the year." Adriana's expression filled with disdain as she sighed, setting her head back against the couch lightly. Oh, yes, now would be the perfect time for some evil dramatic music as she plotted her revenge deep in the dungeons. Right ( ... )
