Keary made his way across the grounds with hands crammed into his pocket. Despite Wes being a good friend, he was definitely not the most pleased with the other bloke right then. The hug from Emilia still burned in his mind, and he was still a touch convinced that Wes fancied her. The fact that he had just waited out for her to get a very unwarm reception didn't wear well on him either.

So, burn fresh from Emilia (despite him saying he was fine, it was fine, so on and so forth), he headed out to see Wes.

As he reached the other boy, he sort of stood there awkwardly. "You wanted to see me?"

Ah, there he was. He didn't look entirely pleased to be out there, but Wes figured that he was simply being sour as usual. "Yes, I did. Go ahead and sit, hmm? We need to have a chat about something... rather important."

He waved his hand toward the ground next to him and leaned back lazily against the tree that was behind him. Peeling a small piece off of the roll, he stuck it in his mouth, before continuing.

"Have you -- made up your mind as to where your loyalties lie, Keary?"

Keary's brow quirked, but just for a moment. Well. Right to it, then. With a nod, he sat, crossing his ankles and leaning back on his palms. "All right then," he replied, then drew in a breath. Merlin, what would Wes have to talk to him about? Surely it wasn't about the fiasco with Juhi.

But then, he said it.

"Sudden," he replied without even stopping to think. "That was ah.. out of the blue, then?"

Admittably, it was a subject he hesitated on. He wanted to say 'to hell with mudbloods', but it was actually.. hard?

"Out of the blue, perhaps, but you know me. I don't like to dance around a subject."

Wes noted the fact that Keary didn't answer right off the bat, which worried him slightly. He knew that the boy was infatuated with Emilia, but he knew that he couldn't just drop her into the conversation right now.

That would be a bad move.

He popped another piece of the roll in his mouth, not saying anything more. He'd wait for Keary to reply with something before he made his next move. There wasn't any good in revealing too much of his hand too soon.
