Week 022: 'Natural Disaster'
Sunday, February 5th - Saturday, February 11th, 2006
Even wizards are susceptable to 'natural disasters.' A devastating ice storm has hit England, Ireland, and Scotland, covering the United Kingdom in ice, snow, and general panic. On first glance, it looks like the ice storm was simply a natural occurance, horrible though it was.
However, the damage was quite concentrated, making some people suspicious.
After all, the worst damage was taken at the Ministry of Magic, and Hogwarts. More specifically, an entire wing of the Ministry was knocked out, leaving a mess that even the Muggles noticed. Hogwarts, meanwhile, was hit the hardest. The Astronomy Tower is in ruins, and Hogsmeade will need to be rebuilt, as many of the shops lost their roofs.
Was it a covert attack on the Wizarding World from the Dark Lord? Many wizards assume so, and everyone in the Wizarding World is talking about it.
You can continue to play in Week 021 threads until a tally notice is put up! You are more than welcome to go back and finish any undone commenting in those threads after the tally is complete, but please be aware that it will not be for points; only for plot progression.
