Week Name/Date/Time: 'Dark Sarcasm in the Classroom' / Friday, January 13th, 2006 / 7:14 PM Location: Dungeons, heading towards Slytherin Common Room Open To: Anyone? ;) Currently Involving: Adriana and Dorian
Without a doubt in her mind, this was the best snog Adriana had ever had, hands down. Dorian was fantastic at matching her intensity and he was so good at what he did.
If only she had known that Dorian believed she would make a good Death Eater; it seemed as though every respectable figure she had spoken with completely dismissed the idea. She was a woman and therefore, better suited as a silent wife. She absolutely hated the idea of aiming towards getting married directly after Graduating from Hogwarts, and that, sadly, was the future for most of her housemates. And they seemed to be okay with it! Spending the rest of their days sitting quietly at home, only to be required on the arm of their husband at social events to smile and look pretty. Adriana would never settle for that kind of lifestyle -- well, except the looking pretty part.
Adriana knew from early on that she would never be satisfied with being a housewife. Not that she was completely opposed to marriage in the future if the right man were to ask, but she would not accept the 'normal' way of the spousal jobs. Adriana craved challenge and competition and most of all she wanted to do something worthwhile. Just because she was a woman did not mean she wasn't capable of defending herself or fighting, and she was going to prove it. And The Dark Lord seemed to possess just what she was looking for.
Her mind jolted back to the task at hand, their snogs intense as ever. Adriana could feel her heart pounding with the passion of it all, and she knew she was so far gone that it felt impossible to stop. The blood seemed to rush and she felt slightly light-headed, when suddenly she was pinned against the wall. She felt the cold stone against her back and she smirked against Dorian's mouth as he now took the lead in kissing her. And she couldn't help the throaty moan that escaped once he moved towards her neck again. Her eyes closed and she just focused on the sensations.
When he broke away to look at her, Adriana opened her eyes again and just gazed back at him for a few moments before speaking. "That was just my warm up, darling." She replied with a grin, putting her head back against the wall.
Like Adriana, Dorian despised silent housewives. If he ever did settle down (which was unlikely), he’d want his partner to do the same things he was, fighting for the cause on the front lines. He’d be terribly annoyed by the smell of cookies when he arrived home after a ministry raid of fancy dress party, he’d want to come home with his equally messy and tired wife by his side.
If there really were more girls like Adriana winters out there, they shouldn’t be left at home. Though Dorian grudgingly would admit that’s probably what would happen, he still disagreed with it. The cause could use every intelligent person they could get, women included. They could say spells and outsmart any Auror. That, really, was all one needed.
But back to the present.
He straightened, a smile sitting on his lips. He allowed himself and Adriana a second to regroup, and decided to take a different approach. Instead of diving down without hesitation, Dorian took the side of her face lightly, more gentle than he’d ever been. After a few more moments, he took a step closer to her and descended without his usual fervor, starting off slowly, but deeply. He really didn’t know how Adriana would react, but it certainly would be interesting.
It was a hard road, but Adriana was determined as ever not to let her gender interfere with what she wanted to do after Hogwarts. Her Mother still insists to this day of that life and drops hints of proper suiters among their Pureblood circles, but for the most part Adriana's still uninterested. If getting married required sitting at home all day, Adriana would happily die a spinster. Gladly, though, she had recently had a long talk with Richard Beckett, her Uncle; he seemed to the be the only person to see her point of view so far.
Her breathing began to slow itself down, the pounding of her heart decreasing to a more normal level, as she gazed across at Dorian with a light smile. Adriana admittedly was surprised with his next gentle actions, but wasn't in the least opposed to it. Hmm... not a bad change, she thought to herself as he kissed her. Although she was more inclined to dive right in for the kill... she didn't mind this. It was still passionate, and even more sensual. Following his lead, Adriana then moved both her arms and placed her palms against his chest lightly, kissing him back with slow movements.
Fortunately for Dorian, there hadn’t been anyone to try to enforce a proper marriage on him. Aside from the fact his only surviving parent was a muggle; his father never paid much attention to him. Work came first, second, and third- Dorian never made the list.
Really, though, he preferred it that way. He didn’t have to make pathetic small talk with the man or pretend to like him. Dorian had been able to grow into the person he was today, as good as a Pureblood without their usual spoiled nature. Without his father, he never would have been a death eater.
Dorian continued kissing Adriana slowly, finding it just as enjoyable, though in a slightly different way. While it lacked the ferocity from before, it still made his head spin, and only added to his excitement.
To tease her, Dorian pulled back softly, though he kept kissing her. Now it was agonizingly slow, even for him. He wanted to tease her and get her worked up, and hopefully this would do it.
Adriana knew nothing of Dorian's family or past, and it would be a huge shock if she did. The thought of his bloodline being anything but pure seemed impossible, and he very much acted like a Slytherin alumni. She had her first impression of him - and it was a rather nice one. And it wouldn't be too much of a revolting notion, only a minor disappointment, to learn that Dorian wasn't from Slytherin, considering Adriana's parents were both Gryffindors when they went to school (although they act like complete elitists nowadays). It was only Adriana that continued the Winters Slytherin line of her Grandparents and further ancestors.
Her eyes opened and narrowed ar him when he pulled back slightly; she could guess it was to tease and unfortunately for her it worked. This new style of snogging with Dorian was definitely different but she liked it; however, this was terribly slow. Adriana couldn't recall kissing like this since the first time she had with a boy.
She know damn well what Dorian was skilled in and that he was doing this on purpose. A smirk crossed her lips for a brief moment - this was annoying the hell out of her. But he wasn't going to crack her that easily. Her competitive nature kicked in and she simply smiled, dropping her hands to her side and kissing him just barely in return. Her eyes shut again and she also kept her lips closed, practically snogging like an awkward inexperienced teenager.
Back at school, Dorian was far too self-centered to care about other houses. His house was just a classification, just a place to stick him at night. Dorian rarely talked to anyone back then, he was fully set on achieving his goals. It was only after he left and began Auror training he realized what house really meant. The Gyffindors and Hufflepuffs were idiots, mostly; Ravenclaw and Slytherin were the only ones that were respectable. While he would have loved to have been in Slytherin, a man like himself couldn’t do with the added suspicion.
She didn’t want to play his game? Well then, he wouldn’t play hers. Dorian smiled against Adriana’s closed lips and pulled back completely, taking a step backwards to lean against the wall. With an incredibly bored expression, he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.
Well, well, well.. Wasn't this development interesting.. Adriana thought to herself as Dorian backed away. She had to resist the brief temptation to pout in annoyance at him. Putting one hand on her hip and the other against her chin, she stayed where she was, a few paces away from him. She simply looked across at him, as if ready to stare him down. It was a game, and she was much too stubborn to be the one to give in first. Sure, she was about ready to snog for the whole bloody night, but two could play his game.
"If I recall, you were the one who stopped in the first place." Adriana responded to Dorian's comment in a low voice with only a smirk playing on her lips. She let out a very soft sigh and glanced to the side and down the corridor which lead to the Slytherin Common Room, before her eyes flashed back to him. "I can always just go to bed if this is getting too much for you."
AGH. She was infuriating! Really, Adriana Winters had to learn to take a hint.
Of course, he knew she could, but that was beside the point. He tried something different, it worked splendidly, now it was her turn. She wasn’t supposed to just… stand there looking at him. She had a JOB to do, and she’d better get around to doing it sometime soon. Even though Dorian had virtually no patience, he was too proud to give in first. He wanted to feel like he was too fantastic to resist, like she needed him.
Dorian smirked and rolled his eyes, letting out a soft snort. “Darling, I’m afraid you’re mistaken,” he said, crossing one foot over the other. “It was you who stopped, I was merely taking a different approach- one that you seemed to be enjoying for a while.”
His smile widened slightly as she continued. The opportunity was there, and he may as well make a cheeky comment in yet another attempt to have another go. “If you’d rather go to bed, dear, be my guest. However, I’m not quite sure which of those two options would prove to be too much for me. In all honestly, I’m fairly certain I’ll be able to make due either way.”
Adriana knew damn well that she was infuriating Dorian, and in her own way, it was a wonderful thing. He didn't just walk away yet, and she was pleased with that. In quite the same way he did, she wanted to feel needed. That this was so thrilling and he couldn't get enough of her.
Adriana might not have felt like she needed him at the moment, but boy did she want him.
Which was ticking her off as they were indeed just standing around.
"It seems we have a predicament, then," Adriana said, quirking an eyebrow, "A stalemate." Taking a small step forward, she tapped her index finger against her cheek in thought, purposely biting at her bottom lip. A hint of a smirk was on her lips from his last comment, and she opened her mouth to say something further when an echo of multiple voices were heard coming from the left of the corridor. Bloody hell, She glared, having about to give up. Turning her head quickly towards the footsteps, Adriana made a split-second decision. Whoever was coming would no doubt pass by them and there wasn't time to wait and see if they wouldn't get her and Dorian into trouble.
Grabbing Dorian's arm, she rushed the opposite way and quickly knelt down beside the wall, where there appeared to be a large vertical crack in the stone. Pushing on an area where the stone met the floor, she stood back up as a section of the cracked stone slide off to the side, revealing an opening. Without a word Adriana grabbed Dorian's hand and practically shoved him in with her, the stone slab sliding over again and placing them both into darkness.
"Lumos." Adriana muttered in a low whisper, her chest heaving, and the light from her wand giving some light to the small cove in which they were now standing.
“Damn it,” Dorian swore under his breath. He allowed himself to be shoved roughly into the crack, but only because it was Adriana doing the shoving. While he was somewhat annoyed about being interrupted, he didn’t exactly know why she was getting so worked up. Aside from a bit of messed up hair and flushed cheeks, they didn’t look THAT bad. Besides, the dim torchlight hid all that. Merlin, it was a wall! If Adriana had planned on dragging him into a hole in the wall that was likely full of dirt and dust, she could’ve advised him not to wear five-hundred dollar shoes.
But, when he found out how small their new hideaway was, he suddenly found nothing wrong with their predicament. Dorian was a guy, after all, he had a one-track mind.
And that one track mind was what made him scoot a bit closer to her and put one arm against the wall. “Can you hear anything else?” Dorian whispered closely to her ear, all for the sake of safety, of course.
Adriana stayed silent for a few moments, leaning against the wall that acted as the door to this little hideaway. She was lucky enough to remember it was even here, having not used it since her third year when she was first shown it with Rae and Foxe. Gladly for Dorian, it wasn't a terribly dirty cove, just a room with four slabs for walls and some dust that had obviously accumulated.
Lowering her lit wand by her side, Adriana pressed her ear against the stone, attempting to try and hear anything. No such luck though, it was dead quiet and the thickness of the dungeon walls probably didn't help in the matter. Dorian then whispered next to her, slightly making the hair on the back of her neck stand up. "No... although they must have passed by now." She replied, swallowing and then turning around, her back to the wall now.
"Sorry, by the way." She said, keeping a low voice and motioning to his robes which had some dusty marks from where she shoved him against the stone. "Didn't mean to be rough." Adriana looked up at Dorian with a hint of a smirk, finding that phrase to be rather ironic whereas usually she would.
For a neat freak like Dorian, even a bit of dust was enough to get him annoyed. This suit would take hours of cleaning and dozens of charms, but he could deal with it, right? After all, he was with Adriana Winters. He could deal with it, he could!
“Oh, its perfectly fine, my dear,” he lied smoothly, a reassuring smile on his lips. “Besides,” he continued, dragging his hand down the wall a bit, “I don’t mind rough. I thought we’d already established that?”
"Yes, it's just that this time it wasn't entirely intentional." Adriana replied with a slight quirk of her eyebrow. Her eyes flashed to his hand on the wall then back to meet his gaze. The small convenient size of this hideaway had surprisingly never occurred to Adriana as what he was already thinking. She grinned as many ideas flickered through her mind. The only downside to the room being that there wasn't a great source of air flow, so the room became hot fairly quickly. She was noticing it - but whether it was actually the temperature or something else was debatable.
She stayed silent for a few moments before speaking. "You realize we could probably leave now..." Adriana spoke, trailing off at the end and twirling her wand between her fingers slowly. "But of course they could still be out there, not to mention who else may come by." Letting out a soft sigh, she gave Dorian a slightly worried look, which was completely fake.
He raised his eyebrow in return, looking at her quizzically. “Unintentional or not, dear,” he drawled. “I really don’t mind. Trust me, it… isn’t a problem.”
Dorian bit his lip for a second, shooting a worried look towards the door before retuning his gaze to her. “I think…” he started slowly, still pretending to be apprehensive. “That it’d be safer if we stay in here, I wouldn’t want to get you into trouble.” Always such a sweet guy, Dorian.
Adriana smiled wider, quite happy with his answer. Of course she would give him the option to leave, but it wasn't as though she was in much of a hurry to.
She nodded, watching him intently. "I suppose you're right." She said with a serious face. Using her free hand, she put her hand on his chest very softly and began walking her fingers upwards along his suit. "Always looking out for me, Mr. Grace... have I ever thanked you?" Adriana questioned, as her hand reached his collar and she followed it along, wrapping her arm fully around him.
His expression changed from one of worry to one of a serious nature, though his eyes betrayed that he was ridiculously excited. finally she started this up again, he hadn’t thought he’d be able to wait much longer.
Dorian watched her fingers trail up his chest before staring at her admiringly. “I don’t believe you have,” he said in a low voice, taking a step closer as he felt Adriana’s hand slide across his neck.
