Week Name/Date/Time: ‘The Mistletoe Mishap’ / Sunday, 18th December 2005 / 2:15 p.m.
Location: Courtyard
Open to: Tal
Currently Involving: Ullrich
Ullrich wasn't the sort to even attach himself to someone or something. He remained quite happy when alone and without any sort of friendship, companionship, relationship -- he preferred life that way. It made his job easier, and it made his life easier.
So imagine his surprise when he stopped in his tracks to watch Natalia Sanchez playing that ridiculous sport for nearly an hour.
He wasn't really sure why he'd stopped to watch; he was sure that part of it was because he rather enjoyed stalking her to some extent. It would be amusing to, at some point, ask her how she learned to kick a football so gracefully. To watch her face subtly hint at surprise, to see that she wasn't aware of him keeping such a close eye on her. Yes, that would have made sense.
What didn't make sense, however, was the fact that he was unhappy with her opponent. Yes, Natalia kicking the ball around alone would have been intriguing, but having a partner that she... played with, well, it made Ullrich sneer just a bit. Filthy footballers.
This feeling consumed him as he stood there, leaning against a sturdy stone pillar and gazing out across the grounds. He did not move, he didn't not even take a moment to smoke -- he just stared. Intently, as if trying to burn a hole into the young man's skull. He looked the ridiculous type -- brawny and cheerful and charming. Pah.
If he'd been a normal man, he'd have shrugged off any feelings of supposed jealousy. He wouldn't have let it bother him, he'd have thought, 'Come now, Natalia wouldn't be pleased with such behaviour and thoughts'; but Ullrich was no normal man. His thoughts were egged on by his anger, and he let himself sit and boil within the jealousy. To hate is to love, to hurt is to feel, to feel is to live -- that was his mantra of life. So to let himself be angry made him feel more impassioned -- something that would perhaps confuse him later on. But for now? He'd take it.
As the game slowly wound down, he tensed up just a bit more. He wasn't sure which way the atheletes would go, but he knew that he wasn't going to let either one pass him without sharing a piece of his mind.
