It was 6:45; 15 minutes before everyone was to be arriving at the main event of the night! Matt was taking Ainsleigh and he was anxiously awaiting her at the bottom of the stairs.
His hair was tamed and combed back, which was a miracle. He had his stunning black dress robes on, and a single white rose in one hand for Ainsleigh. Only problem was that he didn't know if that would match! Suppose she was wearing black and he had a white rose! Oh no! so, he nervously awaited her to come down the stairs.
Tonight was going to be a blast, and he got to spend it with Ainsleigh! Not exactly who he would have liked to take, but she was a really nice and sweet girl too! She was actually his second choice, had the other not been already asked...
Oh well, that didn't matter now! All that mattered was that the two get to the Yule Ball on time, as Matt had to keep moving for couples coming down the stairs to head off to the ball - and many bunches of girls too.
